Chapter 8

Jack's POV

( This chapter is mostly about Jack and Arcee. Enjoy!)

It's been a few days after the mine battle and everyone has been taking it easy. Miko was so angry that she missed out on all the"fun". I told my mom everything that happened and that I was going to stay at the base for a few days. That was not a pleasant conversation, but she agreed.

I was walking around the base, doing a lot of thinking. Of what you may ask. Arcee. I can't get what Becca said out of my mind. Maybe I should tell her. What do I got to lose? My friendship with Arcee. Ya, maybe I shouldn't say anything. But this is driving me crazy! I love her! I have always loved her! I want to show her how much I love her, but what if she rejects me?!

I sighed and laid my back against the wall and sliding down to the bottom, rubbing my face with my left hand. " What am I going to do?"

" Hey, partner. You alright?" I turn my head and see Arcee walking towards me.

I smiled. " Ya, I just got a lot of stuff going on in my head,"

" Oh? Like what?" Arcee asked sitting down next to me.

" Complicated stuff." I mumbled.

" Anything specific?" she said.

" Maybe." I said not wanting to talk about my undying love towards her, but yet at the same time do.

She sighed. " You're not going to tell me, are you?"

I shook my head and smiled.

She chuckled. " Oh well, I tried. "

Why does she have to be so cute? I questioned in my head. " So, were you looking for me?" I asked trying to change the conversation.

She nodded, " Ya, I was. I need to talk to you. But, um, probably somewhere a bit more private."

" Alright." I said getting up. My arm felt a little uncomfortable as I accidentally bump it on the wall. I'm really glad that it isn't broken, but it gets so annoying sometimes.

We walked into Arcee's room and she shut the door. She helped me up her berth and I sat down. she sat down right next to me and turned her light on.

She rubbed the back of her neck and looked a bit nervous. " Okay..... Jack, this is something really important. I just want you to promise me something."

" Anything." I said

" Don't.... don't be freaked out once I tell you this."

I nodded my head. " I promise."

She sighed then took a deep breath in. " Alright, here it goes." she turned her head towards him and looked at him. " You and I are best friends Jack. I think the happiest day of my life was the day you found me at KO Burgers. We've been through so much Jack, and the more I see you, spend time with you, or even think about you, my feelings grow even more. No matter how much I try to deny it, it always comes back. You've always been there for me. In my happiest and my saddest days. I don't think that I truly realize what my feelings were until a couple days ago. When I saw you in Arachnid's hand, beaten up and weak." She paused for a moment, trying to keep herself together. " I just broke. I never ever want to see you like that. I couldn't imagine her torturing you or kill you!" she took his hand and squeezed it lightly. "  I guess what I am trying to say is that I...... I love you. You are my everything. I don't want to spend another day without you, I love you Jackson Darby, with all of my spark."

I was speechless. I couldn't find the words at that moment making her look down with a sad expression. " I know, it's weird. I shouldn't have said anythin-"

" Arcee." I finally said. She looked at me with energeon tears coming down from her face. " I feel exactly the same way."

She looked shocked. " R-really? I was so sure that you would never want to speak to me again. "

I got up and walked over to her. I gently placed my hands on both sides of her face. I wiped a few tears from her face. " Arcee, I love you so much."

Then to my surprise she wrapped her arms around my body, pulled me up a bit, and smashed her lips against mine.

It felt like fireworks were going off. This moment was absolutely perfect. I wrapped my arms around her neck and pulled her closer. She took one of her hands and gripped my hair gently, making me moan. She smirked against my lips. Two can play at that game, Arcee. I moved my lips down to her chin and she gasped. I growled, my lips still attached to her polymer and metal skin. We finally stopped for a moment. We both began to laugh and gave each other one more peck on the lips.

" I love you." I said resting his my forehead against hers.

" I love you too, Jackson Darby. Forever and always." Arcee said picking up my wounded hand and gently kissing it.

" Finally!" Someone said.

Arcee and I both darted our eyes out the door and saw Becca standing outside the human sized door, crossing her arms and smirking. " Don't worry, I won't tell anybody. It's not my place to. I am just glad you two are finally together."

Arcee and I both smiled at each other. " So, Arcee. Will you be my girlfriend."

She giggled. " Yes, I would love to."

This was, without a doubt, the best day of my life.
