Maylene was trying to keep the Empress at ease. "She'll turn up." But she paused, scratching her own head in sheer confusion. "But why would she disappear in the first place? She's the heir to the Berlitz fortune, she'll live like a queen!" Maylene found herself in another pause upon the Empress's glance. "Even though people don't want Queens anymore... The Galarians do, but they're crazy. No one can be that much in love."

Reggie rushed in yelling in frustration, "Not a trace of her! The room was bare except for this." He extended his arm to reveal the music box that enlightened the Empress, that held all of Platinum's memories in a single lullaby.

Upon the sight, Cynthia softened. She took it in her own hands, and held it daintily. "I think we've seen the last of that young woman, Maylene."

"But wasn't she really Platinum?"

"It doesn't matter anymore."

Reggie murmured, "Your Majesty, we can't hold them any longer." He was referring to the bustling press getting more anxious with each minute passing.

Cynthia hummed, "I'll talk to them."

The sky was turning into a shade of dusky purple, and Paul was walking along the Lumiose Tower, gazing at the intricate light formations weaved throughout. He found peace in this solitude, but he couldn't help but be slightly upset at the turn of events. He had to leave the city soon because on his own he'd never afford it, so he was carrying his few possessions in the tattered suitcase he always carried around.

Suddenly, he heard quick footsteps approaching behind him. He turned at the weird progression of noise, and low and behold, the muse of his thoughts appeared. It was Dawn, smiling in a beautiful red gown, still in her heels and tiara. She was glistening in little amounts of sweat and panting from a clear rush.

They stared at each other for a minute, until  Paul surprisingly broke the silence. "If you ever see me from a carriage again, don't wave, don't smile." He turned closer to her, looking down at the almost foot difference between them. "I don't want to be in love with someone I can't have for the rest of my life. Goodbye, Your Majesty." He gave a halfhearted bow and began to walk away.

"I always dreamed my first kiss would be in Paris with a handsome Prince." He stopped in his tracks.

Turning around to meet her sparkling blue eyes, Paul scoffed, "I'm not your Prince, Dawn."

The girl marched up to him with so much power in her step. "The Grand Dutchess Platinum Berlitz would beg to disagree, Pima." Dawn leant up to him, still unable to reach in her heels, but even so, she held his cheeks in her gloved hands and kissed the man before her. While she stayed on her tip toes, he was incredibly shocked by the kiss but soon eased into it. He smoothed his palms around her waist, pulling the girl closer to him than ever before. The tip of her nose and her lips were cold from running so far, but almost like electric, they were brought back to life the moment they met each other and the air around them stood still. He became more persistent in the kiss, craving the taste of berry from her lipstick. And Dawn couldn't help but smile, which broke it in the end.

For a moment their eyes traced each other's as their lips remained centimeters apart. Cobalt steel met the infinite oceans and all seemed at peace with the world.

"You'll always be my prince, Paul."
