Chapter 16: I'm. Getting. Married. SUCK IT!

Hunter's P.O.V.

" Hunter, it's been two years there's not much else we can do," my dad said.

We had been arguing like this for a while now.

" No dad, I'm not giving up,"I said but then I heard a sound.

I lifted my head and my dad continued to talk as I tried to zone in on the sound.

" Dad, shut up," I said angrily and he gave me a look that said "come again".

" Hunter, help, we are just outside," I heard and this time I could tell my dad heard it too.

A moment later I bolted from the house and saw her lying on the ground.

" Lily," I shouted.

Seconds later, the yard was flooded with people.

She tried to get up but she fell to the ground, screaming.

I picked her up.

" No, get liz and," she began but I shushed her.

" I'm getting you and that's final," I said, carrying her inside.

I sat on the couch, not letting her out of my arms.

She looked so fragile and weak but I knew better.

She opened her mouth as though to say something but nothing came out.

She lulled a bit but I shook her.

" No, you just got back, don't you dare leave me," I said.

" Wat," she managed to say but her voice stopped.

I was confused then I noticed that Liz and Lacey had been carried in.

They were extremely dehydrated.

" They need water," my mom said as she gave each of them a water bottle.

They chugged it.

She tried to get up but I held fast.

" where do you think you're going," I said and my vision darkened.

" Fine, I'll skip the argument that we would inevitably and just say that I'm going to see my family and if you don't want to let me out of your sight then fine, come with me," she said trying to get away but failing.

" I'll do you one better," I said getting up and starting out the door.

" you'll let me go on my own," she said hopefully and I scoffed.

" ya, not happening," I said as I took off.

I ran for a while then stopped just outside her house.

"My mom called ahead and they are waiting for me in the kitchen." I said

" Wait you, as in not me," she said as I put her down.

" Nope, you're a surprise," I said as I opened the door and she followed me to the kitchen.

She waited just behind the wall as I talked to her family.

" We have a development in looking for lily," I said.

" What kind of development," her dad asked.

" We are not looking for her anymore," I said, shrugging.

" WHAT! Why!" Daniel asked.

" because it would be a waste of time," I said simply and she nearly fell over with laughter.
