2 days before Christmas

Task: Grab Tattletail.

God I don't know what's worse. Having been blacked out without knowing, or knowing it and dreading it.

We're going farther back to see if my memory is working or not, and for my own sake, I hope it is.

I grabbed Tattletail, cough I mean, BORING Tattletail, and went outside knowing what the next task would be.

Task: Find Tattletail's friends.

I could hear them yelling all the way from my bedroom so it was pretty easy to find them.

This night should be the one with the hide-and-seek Tattletail right?

"My pooooooor egg! He stole iiiiiit!" I heard Yellow Tattletail yell, and then noticed Mama beside it on the porch without the red eyes.

She looked nice, but I'm not taking chances.

Grabbing yet another huge knife, I went outside to the garage while keeping my eye on her.

Then I saw Blue Tattletail, with an... egg?

Task: Investigate the stolen egg.

What is there to investigate?

Also, shame on you Blue Tattletail, stealing is not good.

I opened the egg, planning to give it back to Yellow Tattletail, but inside was another letter.

Task: Read the letter.

Bracing myself yet again, I started reading.

Mysterious note: Uh oh. Your memories are becoming weirdly, um... Cute.
Look, memories are like VHS tapes. Every time you play them, they get a little fuzzier. Worse yet, with the right trigger, someone can record over them.
I think somebody recorded over Christmas 1998.
Alright, let's keep going.
