Sarah Cullen POV

I sigh as I lay in bed next to mike.
He was over here with me.
"I can't believe he said that to me and he won't talk to me,it's been two weeks" I say and sit up
"He will come around but don't push him that will just make things worse" mike tell me.
"Fine" I say get up and mike laughs at me.

He walks around the bed and takes me into his arms
He leans down and kiss me.
I smile into the kiss.
He's what I need.

I pull away "I love you" I say and he looks surprised for a second before he smile "I love you to" he tell me and I get happy.
I jump on his and kiss him.

"I love you" I say "love you to" he then puts me down but lean down and kiss me again.

Later

Mike was gonna talk to Daniel for me.
I was scared.
What if he was right.
It should have been me and Daniel could be raised by Paul and be with the pack.
Lean their ways because him being here he's not.

I sit bitting my nails waiting for the two to get back.
Mike is a very important person in my life now and Daniel will always be important in my life.
The two main people I care about.

I hear the door open and I stand up and see them walking in.

Daniel runs to me and hug me and I'm surprised but happy.
I hug him back and kiss his forehead.
"I'm so sorry mom" he said and I nod "it's ok baby" I say and hold him closer to me.
I look at mike and smile at him and he nods at me.

I close my eyes.
Happy.
Love.
That's the two things I feel right now.
And not just because of my son but I'm happy and in love with mike.

That's what I feel with him.
But am I ready to get in something like this again knowing the risk of losing mike.

He's still human.
In a way he is.

Time skip

I was sitting on my bed as mike slept next to me.

I sigh and get up and walk to my jewelry box.
I open it and see the rings.

I pick them up and grab a little ring box.

I put the ring in there.
I close it and grab a box to mail it in.

I sit and pull out some paper.

I'm giving you this back,I loved wearing it but it's time to let go of it.
Paul is gone and I have accepted that.
I know this was your ring that you gave to Paul for our wedding but I'm not gonna keep it around.
It's been a good 15 years.
I found someone his name is mike mason,I met him at work.
He's nice and he cares for Daniel as his own.
Miss latohe I hope you understand why I'm doing this.

I also think it's time for Daniel to be with his people I don't feel he's happy being around all us vampires.
He needs to learn about the tribe.
So I was hoping you would take him for a while and that the pack accept him.

I close the letter and put it in the box with the ring box.
I then tape the box closed.
I look at myself in the mirror.

"You had the boy and the baby Sarah Cullen but why didn't you keep them?" I say to myself.

"You do" I hear and look up and see mike behind me in the mirror.
I smile at him.

"You Sarah Cullen have me now and I'm sorry about Paul but I love you and Daniel,I'm hoping you will let me stay around" he said and kiss my cheek.
I look at him.

"Of course I will keep you around sexy" I say and stand up and kiss him.
