“ That good, huh?” Taylor’s voice takes Camila out of her daydream state, her hands touching some of the records on the store as her mind was anywhere but there.

“ Huh? What are you talking about?” Camila manages to say, a smile still showing on her lips as she turns to look at her best friend.

“ You’ve been spacing out since you got here.” The blonde says with a smirk. “ That must have been a hell of a kiss that he gave you.”

“ You mean kisses.” She says looking back at the shelf in front of her, her cheeks blushing as she fails to hide her smile.

“ Ooh. I want to hear everything.” Taylor says resting her elbows over the shop counter. “ How was the party? Did you kiss him again yesterday?”

“ The party was great.” Camila says walking to counter and also resting her arms over it. “ We talked for so long and he was the sweetest. He did see my underwear though.”

“ He what?” Taylor asks in surprise.

“ Relax. It was because of the wind and he was embarrassed by it. It was actually cute.” She says laughing before sighing at the memory.

“ What else?” Taylor eagerly. She was usually the one talking about her dating life, so it was refreshing to hear Camila talk for once.

“ We met again at the beach yesterday and spent the whole day together. It was amazing.” Camila says smiling for what must be the hundredth time since she walked in the store. “ Oh, and guess what? He’s teaching me the piano. Actually, I have to go. We’re meeting in an hour.”

“ He plays piano?” Taylor asks in shock. “ Damn. I think he might be your soulmate, C.”

Camila laughs at Taylor's joke, but deep down she thinks she wants so bad for Taylor to be right. Because that’s exactly how she’s feeling. She never met anyone who she got along with so quickly, who shared her same interests and who made so much effort to be around her. But then again, she never actually dated a guy for a period of time, so that’s probably why.

Making her way to the parking lot, Camila opens the door to her car and gets in, driving back to the resort with a smile on her lips. The wind on her hair as she passes by the innumerous palm trees makes her feel both free and relaxed, even though she’s a little nervous about their piano class. She’s scared she’s not going to be good enough at it, that he won’t think she can learn it.

Her eyes glance at the resort at a distance and she tries to shut down those insecure toughs and come back to her usual confident self. She can do it. She knows she can and so does Shawn, otherwise he wouldn’t offer to teach her.

After parking her car in her usual spot, Camila walks inside her family’s resort and pauses at the huge mirror next to the front table. Her hair looks like a mess because of the wind, so she takes two scrunchies out of her purse and starts braiding her hair in two. Her eyes analyze the final result and she smiles, thinking it looks cute enough. Walking to the dining area, where her mother’s classical piano is placed, Camila is met by a piano melody and a beautiful soft voice filling the room.

She watches in surprise as Shawn plays the piano gracefully, his hands knowing exactly where to go even though his eyes are closed. And then there’s his voice. It’s soothing and soft to the ears, but also raspy in the right moments. He looks so in peace while singing and playing that she doesn’t even walk there, resting her back on the wall behind her and waiting for the song to be over.

“ Are you just going to stand there or do you have any plans on coming over here?” She hears Shawn’s voice breaking her out of her trance. She just now realized she had her eyes closed as his voice did things to her mind.

“ That was so beautiful.” She says with a smile that matches his.

“ Come here.” He says extending his hand out for her.

Forcing her legs to walk properly as he stares at her, Camila makes her way to the piano and takes his hand as he scoots over for her to sit down next to him.

“ You didn’t tell me you could sing.” She says before placing a quick kiss on his lips. “ Any other hidden talents I don’t know about?

“ Humm.” He starts trying to hide a smirk, that makes both of them laugh. Was he really thinking about what she thought he was? “ Let’s see. I can play acoustic guitar and I can bake an amazing pumpkin pie.”

“ Pumpkin pie?” Camila asks curiously.

“ My mom loves it and I always helped her on Thanksgiving until I started baking the pie all by myself.” He says proudly.

“ Can you cook anything?” Her voice sounds amused. She didn’t expect him to be able to do anything in the kitchen.

“ Some basic recipes, but nothing too fancy. Enough to survive college.” He says chuckling.

“ That’s already more than I can do.” She says before looking down at the piano. “ So, are we doing this thing or what?”

“ Right.” He says, smiling at her, his eyes focused on her as she looks at him, waiting for him to tell her what to do.

She’s about to look away when he steals a kiss from her lips, leaving her breathless for a second before starting their piano lesson. His hands are showing her the chords as if he didn’t just swipe her off her feet a second ago, making it hard for her to concentrate on the task in hand.
