Chapter 6 ~ The City

Eanid POV

My consciousness started to come back to me as I examined the room I was in. I was inside the Silver Phoenix once more. But this time I looked around the room to see if I could find clues about who they were. I heard quiet voices in the next room so I strained to listen.

"She is doing well with our tests," said a male voice, probably Ironfist.

"Yes, she is proving to be getting stronger, not weaker like the others," said another voice this time again anonymously.

"We must keep doing tests on her, bring her in more often," the anonymous voice.

It was as if the anonymous voice was the leader because it was commanding Ironfist, when actually no one commands him. They enter my room to see me squirming in my chair.

"Shit," says Ironfist whilst he bangs me on the head with something that I can't catch.

I'm too busy trying to see who is the anonymous voice. But I can't see who it is because the person's face is hidden by a Golden Phoenix mask.

As we approached the huge buildings, there was much more noise. Unlike how when we traveled there was barely any noise at all.

"It's so loud!" I exclaimed.

"Yes it is quite loud even for Golden Blade city." He said.

"This place is called Golden Blade city?" I ask.

"Yes indeed, famous for the Golden Blade Building," James explained.

"OoO cool!" I said.

"Yes, it is, but not as cool as me," He smirked.

"You brag so much," I complain.

"Hey, it helps my self esteem," He reasoned.

"I guess," I agree.

We approached the huge buildings and we came to a big golden gate. The gate kept people from going inside, especially bad people.

"This gate was made by the gods thousands of years ago, it only opens for gifted people like James." Stuart explains.

"Wait, James is gifted? In what way?" I was surprised.

"He has powers, he is a healer but he is also part siren." Staurt explained once more.

"James is only part siren how?" I ask.

"His mother was a siren, she had two kids. James's sister has the voice of a siren, whilst James has the lure." Stuart said.

So that was why Gwen was so interested in James. She was lured by James's inner siren.

"Woah that explains a lot," I say.

"I suppose," Stuart said.

"Wait, how can James's sister talk if she has the voice of a siren? If she speaks won't she kill everyone who heard her?" I ask again.

"Yes that is true, so she doesn't speak she uses sign language." He explained.

"Oh, so I suppose James knows that as well," I chuckle.

"Why yes of course," Stuart joked.

"Hey guys, I just got them to open up the gate," shouted James from the guard hut.

"Okay!" Stuart shouted back.

"Let's get going then, we should show you around the city so you get to know the place better." Stuart said.
