Eanid POV

"Inject more," said a deep voice.

I open my eyes to see a brown paper bag over my head. I don't move, because I don't want to alert them that I am awake.

"She'll wake up soon, the anaesthetics will wear off," said another.

"Be careful this one is very mischievous," said the deep voice which I now recognise to be Ironfist.

I feel an electric current burst up my arms, I scream at the top of my lungs.

"I knew it!"shouted the anonymous voice.

Something banged me on the head and everything with black.

~

I awoke with a startle. I was panting and I was sweating. I realised what happened, I fell out of bed. No wonder my head hurt so much. I hear frantic knocking on my door.

"Eanid? Are you in there?" I hear from a frantic James.

I go to open the door, and I'm greeted with a waft of his aftershave.

"What's the problem?" I ask.

"You weren't answering, and I was worried you ran away," he explained.

"Seriously we are on the second floor, no way would I make that jump without injuring my body. And plus I'm already broken anyways," I snap.

"Sorry I'm just worried," explained James.

"It's okay, sorry for snapping at you as well," I say apologetically.

"You should get dressed, we can go down to breakfast together," James said.

"Okay," I say, before I realise that I don't have any clothes.

"I don't have any clothes though," I say.

"I'll ask Gwen's mother to see if she can provide anything for you," James says.

"Okay, I will wait here," I say.

Shortly after James left, there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see a woman, who was very bright, and wearing bright and shiny clothes. She was pretty, that was where Gwen got her prettiness.

"Why hello! I have brought decent clothes for you," She said.

"Okay, thank you," I said awkwardly.

I have never been given any clothes before. She lay a set of very pretty clothes on the bed.

"Thank you again, they are really pretty," I complimented.

"Thanks honey, after you get dressed you should head downstairs to get some breakfast," she said.

"Maybe," I said, I probably wouldn't be able to eat since I would throw it all up.

"Go on then I'll leave you to it," she said.

She left me in the room with the clothes. I got dressed and examined the clothes she had left me. It was a dark green silk shirt, and black leggings, for the cold because we were heading north. I went down to breakfast, coming down with a waft of egg. I wanted to gobble it all up again, but I knew better. I met with Stuart and James and began to pick at the food I was given.

"How'd you sleep Eanid?" James asked.

"Not bad," I lied.

I had another nightmare. About Ironfist, again. I dreamt about being inside the Silver Phoenix.

"Good then, finish eating and then we will get back on the road," said Stuart.

Just before we left, there was a loud voice.

"Oh James! Please stay! It would be wonderful if you stayed with us at the Inn for a while!" said a desperate Gwen.

I was annoyed by Gwen once more. All she wanted was James! I don't have time to think about her! I must focus on what happened with Ironfist, I thought to myself. We left the Inn just after Noon and we set off next to the river once more. I hate to think that somewhere along this river I was lying down just about dead. I survived somehow.

"Did you enjoy your breakfast, since you actually ate it this time!" Stuart joked, he saw I was a bit down from what happened with Gwen.

"Aw I suppose so!" I joked back, it cheered me up.

"Haha!" Stuart laughed.

"How long do you think the journey is back to the city?" I question.

"About two days, we'll stop at night to rest but then we will move on at the crack of dawn," Stuart explained.

"Ok," I say.

~

As night fell, the air became cooler. It was more relaxed than travelling during the day.

"Isn't the night just beautiful?" said a mesmerised Stuart.

"Yes of course. But wait, if the night is cooler why don't you travel during the night instead of the day," I ask.

"That would be wonderful, but it's too dark to travel at night because there are all sorts of animals out there," explained Stuart.

"Ah yes, I didn't think of that." I say.

"Well then we better stop here for a rest, this place looks safe enough to make a campsite," Stuart said.

"Yes, indeed it is a good spot," James agreed.

After they built the campsite, I began to shiver from the cold. I liked the cold, but not too cold or it reminded me of our cold cell room.

"Cold?" asked James, as he put his jacket on my shoulders.

"Yes, thank you," I said.

After eating a cracker, cheese, some lettuce, and a few grapes, we were all so tired. We all just went to sleep after eating. But as they both snored, I was lying there awake, knowing that if I did sleep I would get another nightmare. They were coming regular now, like in the Inn and on the journey to the Inn. But I must sleep, I think to myself. Even if it is disturbed.
