Amidst the mist of what once before was the Lake of Avalon, stands the Goblet of Soul. Brimming almost over the edge with a clear liquid, it has been like that for centuries. You couldn't remember how you got there, but you just know you need to be there.
Stepping into the clearing you'd never seen before, you walk along dried land that before was filled with water and life, and looking towards the middle of it all, you don't see a golden goblet. Like you probably would've pictured if hearing the name. Instead you see an upraise of the most beautiful flowers that you've ever seen before in your life, and together they form the perfect shape of a halo with their bright colors and light that always seems to shine right at it. It was a beautiful contrast to all the death encircling it.
When getting close enough you're uplifted with wondrous floral scents and just by touching one of their petals you know this place is something above the prayers you usually do to show respect to your Gods.
Peering over the edge of flowers, looking down at the clear liquid filling the goblet, you've the sudden urge to touch. But when doing just so, you don't sense anything against your skin, but glittering drops from your raised fingers seek their way back to the goblet.
This Goblet of Soul has been through all the changes of the world, just waiting to be reborn, and taking a look at your surroundings you notice the worn of the old trees. These old trees, that when the goblet was filled, were young and nourished, were now standing, old and withering and with loss of life. A sense of destruction and sorrow overflows your body, telling you that something's gone wrong, that a wrong decision has been made.
A sudden wind whirling along the flowers tells stories from a long time ago, whispering about two souls being as one, but also the loss leaving just one of them on earth, waiting and enduring trials while never feeling whole.
Knowing about the world of your today and the new emotions the wind brought you, you'd do anything to go back and change direction of the old decision. In some way, you know death would've always needed to happen, and the knowing of that and the pain it would cause made it no easier. But if turning back the wait, the result of today may be saved. Shortening the wait could prove to be vital to the progress of making the return of the King a successful one.
