I was jolted awake after what felt like a few seconds. There was an unnatural screeching sound and a lot of people running into the train cabin I was in. This caused me to bolt up with ice running through my veins. Screaming filled my ears as the last people ran in from the door. Past all of the people scattered in the isle I saw what they were fleeing. Although it was hunched over it stood well above 8 feet. Bony spike like objects were protruding out of its back at strange angles, with similar structures lining the arms.

Making eye contact with me, the beast's red eyes it felt like the were digging into my soul rendering me speechless. It lunged at the door and ripped it open grabbing at the nearest people. When it finally caught someone it just looked them up and down grabbing their 'treat box' and threw them away from the train onto the side of the tracks. I hoped the person was okay.

The creature reached back into the train and grabbed another person repeating the same process as before, then it clicked. I ran towards the door and set my 'treat box' down in front of the beast and stepped away. It looked me up and down, took the box, and looked at everyone else. When people finally connected the dots they took out the gifts from the palace and set them by the monster. It took the offerings and put them in a large bag and leapt off the train.

Everyone stood in the cabin in stunned silence not knowing what to do, so we sat down. Someone towards the back started laughing from stress causing everyone to break down to tears or laughter. I thought everyone was crazy, but I remember getting taught in class what near death experiences do to people. In some cases people laughed, cried, and coincidentally died from a heart attack. I looked left out my window at the hill which the beast had disappeared behind and noticed something, or someone watching the train.

That's when there was an explosion. The train took a very quick, yet forced right turn. Everyone in this cabin stopped laughing or crying and screamed.  I was thrown up against the wall and then quickly started falling to the right side. I was confused until I realized that the train had probably been flipped over resulting in this 'shift' of gravity.

Quickly after the train flipped it came to a stop. Everyone got up and picked up their friends who were injured, others found their friends less fortunate. Asides from the catastrophe there was something else to worry about. I'm assuming the explosion had happened in the drivers cabin because a fire was quickly spreading down the train from that direction.

"EVERYONE!!! WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!" Someone yelled. I decided to heed the warning and started to get up. Everyone was out of the cabin within thirty seconds, well everyone that could walk.

As if on queue for that thought a voice yelled from the cabin, "HELP! I CAN'T WALK!!!" Just as quickly as I had gotten out of the train I ran back inside. The smoke was just starting to fill the cabin, and I noticed who I thought had been speaking. "OVER HERE!" The voice yelled again. Their lower left leg was cracked in two. I ran over to the person and picked them up by the arm and carried them out before the smoke got to us.

When I finally got back out the person finally spoke again. "Thank you, I don't even know if I can say that word enough," then he coughed. I set my classmate on the ground and the teen patted me on the shoulder, "Thank you." After these words everyone started clapping for me. Dings were going on left and right, and I looked down at my wristband. The same dismal score was showing which confused me. I just saved a life and others were getting the points for applauding me.

Only after the applause calmed down did I finally decide to sit down and look at what had happened. The entire train was engulfed in flames which released a putrid black smoke. The front cabin of the train was extremely malformed which only furthered my feeling that the conductors cabin was what got struck. I looked around trying to see if everyone who made it out was okay when I finally remembered the figure standing by the train when the explosion struck. I stood up extremely quick and looked along the hill and barely saw a person with a glowing red hand and the same beast from before climbing down to the other side.

I guess standing up too fast made me dizzy resulting in me blacking out.
