That night, I couldn't sleep. Well, every night I can't sleep.

I tossed in turned in bed as usual.
Sometimes I just want to hit my head really hard just to fall asleep.
(This is me, because sometimes I want to sleep but I just can't)

I got up from my bed and walked out of the room quietly so no one else wakes up, bringing my pencil and sketchbook with me.

I didn't know where I was going. It was like my body was possessed and was taking me somewhere. As I was walking around the house, the familiar aroma of old books filled the air. Somehow, I found myself by the library. I trotted inside and looked around for a book. Why? Just because I could.

I set my pencil and notebook down on a table and zoomed straight to the fiction books. Fiction was my favorite genre. I loved historical fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, realistic fiction.. anything that could take you to another world in your mind. I looked at the spines of the books, reading the titles one by one. A certain book caught my attention.

"Ra.. pun.. zel..?" I whispered to myself, trying to pronounce the unfamiliar word.

I snatched the book from the shelf and started to skim through the pages.

This seems interesting.. it looks like a fantasy book. I think I might enjoy this!

Happy with my decision, I bounced over to the table where I placed my pencil and notebook and sat down and started to read this 'Rapunzel' book.

I really liked it so far. It was about this girl who had very long hair and she was trapped in this tower!

"She's just like me. Just some person trapped in a farm.." I chuckled to yourself.

As my imagination flowed reading the fantasy book, I started to draw what I imagined Rapunzel to look like. I sketched a woman with long, blond, braided hair with an elegant dress and flowers scattered around her. I didn't know exactly what she looked like because there were no pictures in the book, so I just guessed based off the text.

(I actually drew this, pls don't judge LOL-)

Pleased with my work so far, I stopped drawing and held my notebook up to get a better look at it.

Perfect.

"Honey, what are you doing up so late?" I heard a voice ask.

I looked up from my little doodle to see my oh so dear mother.

"Hi mom, I'm just not sleepy tonight."

"You have to go to bed now, sweetie. It's almost midnight and you have another exhausting day tomorrow."

"I thought you wanted to talk to me tonight, mom."

"Was that tonight? Sorry, I forgot."

(Ooo secrets, wonder what you and mom are talking about)
