I'd again like to remind you that this is FICTIONAL, which means it's not real and this is all just a product of my imagination. there's obviously going to be many differences from the reality. this is just a story !!

Sykkuno wakes up like he does every morning. With the weight of his dog prominent on his chest. It's his fault really. He's the one who always invites Bimbus to cuddle up on his chest and feeds him more than he actually should. He loves spoiling him though, so that's fine.

He scrunches his nose up when the dog's wet nose touches his neck as Bimbus sniffs him. He lets out a frustrated sigh and slowly opens his eyes. Bimbus' curly fur tickles his neck and a smile blooms on his face, crinkling his eyes in the process. He brings his hand up to pet the dog, Bimb immediately waging his tail which slaps against his leg repetitively.

Not that he'd feel it.

He lets out another sigh. He pats Bimb's bum twice and he gets the message to get off of Sykkuno. The dog jumps off the bed but stays nearby ready to help if Sykkuno needs any. He lifts himself up into a sitting position, throws his arms up and twists until he hears the satisfying pop of his spine. He scrubs his face with his hands, scratches at the uneven stubble on his face. He needs to shave.

"Bimbus, chair." He mumbles, but he hears him anyway, walking behind the wheelchair and pushing it forth so it lines up with the bed.

Sykkuno slowly transfers himself to the chair, still quite dizzy from sleep. Though he doesn't forget to sigh again like it's a routine now. Every morning sigh at least thrice and try not to think about how your life became living hell. It's been more than 3 years but Sykkuno still thinks about that day. More than his therapist would allow him to. He can't help but.

Don't get him wrong, Sykkuno is alright. He's so thankful that he's alive. Unlike the other guy in the accident. But he also likes to think about what his life would be like if he hadn't been a paraplegic. He would have finished college for one. Wouldn't feel like a failure every time he has to ask for help. He would still have people in his life that aren't his roommate. And he might still have had his lover.

He shakes the thought away as soon as it comes. It's been 3 years. He has to get over a boy he fell in love with in high school. But Sykkuno still hasn't forgotten every detail about him. Every detail that he spent admiring as they laid in bed for hours together. How every single touch of his fingers made him shiver and shudder and moan and writhe and–

Today is going to be a long day.

"Can you get me one of those candies that taste sour?"

"You mean sour candies, Toast?" Sykkuno rolls his eyes as he drags himself to the kitchen to eat some brekkie.

"Yeah, those." Toast calls out distractedly.

Sykkuno bends to take a peek at what Toast is up to. He's not surprised when he sees him planted on the couch playing GTA. Cereal bowl in his lap, he rolls towards the living room, petting Bimbus on the way – who's eating from his dog bowl happily.

"Yeah, well, you're not getting those since I'm not going out."

"You haven't been outside in like 2 weeks, Sy." Toast shakes his head.

"Well, whatever. S'not happening."

"We're out of grocery. It's your turn." He can see the small smirk crawling its way on Toast's face.
