CHAPTER 14: I LIKE YOU :)

'I like you'

Sejeong stuns. She looks at Sehun's back. She can clearly see how red his neck and his left ear is. Sejeong's heart flutters. She waits for Sehun to continue.

Sehun takes a deep breath. He look up looking at Sejeong's calm face.

Why is she doesn't even shocked?

Sehun swallows his saliva before he pulls Sejeong's hand, asking her to sit. Sejeong sits.

Sehun: I like you. In fact, I love you. For a very long time. You caught my eyes. Even when I tried to ignore it, you just popped up in my mind. I tried to forget you, but it so hard. You seem so unapproachable, so I almost give up.

Sehun stops, catching his breath. He takes a glance at Sejeong. No reaction. He toughen up his gut, continue confessing.

Sehun: I felt like a dream come true when I saw you at the cafe with Mina. Then Mina told me that you are her friend. I saw my chances. That's why I quickly goes up to you when I saw someone courting you. I finally got my chances, no way I'll let someone else snatches it right in front of me.

Sejeong: Wait! You know me way before that?

Yes, a reaction!

Sehun looks at Sejeong's puzzled face.

Sehun: I've always been aware of you. Actually, we always bump into each other at the university but you never spare me a glance. There was a time when I was helping with Jiyeon's rehersal, then you came up to us and talked to her. Yet you didn't even look at me. You amazed me. I may sound smug but you are the first person that unfazed by my appearance.

Sejeong rolls her eyes, makes Sehun burst out laughing. Looking at Sehun's laughing, Sejeong unconsciously let out a smile. Sehun continue.

Sehun: People always look happy when they were around you and you always have people gather around you. You are so attractive, beautiful inside out. You are so friendly, to everyone.

Sejeong: If I'm really that friendly, why don't you reach out to me?

Sehun: I've tried. A few times. But when I went close to you, my gut disappear. My head numb and my tongue stiffened. I don't know what to say and it's never happened to me before, except for when it's involving you.

Sejeong: Whoaa. What about when we were at the cafe? You talked fluently as my knight in shining armour.

Sehun smile. Remembering the past.

Sehun: I told you before. I finally have the chances to get to know you, how can I let you got snatched away right in front of me? I bet my desperation gives me the strength.

Sehun stares at Sejeong, with a hoping face.

Sehun: I really really mean it when I say I love you. It hurts me so much seeing you being targeted by a bastard. Can you accept me?

Sejeong bits her lower lips. Sehun's confession really moved her but its too sudden.

Looking at Sejeong's hesitate face, Sehun holds Sejeong's hands. As if he understands Sejeong's thought, he said

Sehun: I'm sorry that my confession is too sudden. The situation is hard for you already. I don't want to burden you. So, you can take your time. You don't need to give the answer right away. No matter how long it is, I will wait and respect all your decisions. But, can you at least let me take care of you? Protect you?

It takes a while for Sejeong to nod her head. Looking at Sejeong's response, Sehun spontaneously rub Sejeong's hair and said 'Good girl'.

Sejeong's face redden. Sehun, who is being embarrassed of his sudden act, rubs his nape.

Sehun: It's already late. I better go first. Call me if anything happen. I will send you to school tomorrow.

Sejeong: No, you don't nee...

Sehun: Shush! Don't rebel. I won't let you go anywhere alone. I will send and pick you and Nayoung to school starting tomorrow.

Sejeong sighs. She nods weakly. How can she refuse when Sehun shows her how much he care? Sehun walks to the door and Sejeong follows him from behind, sending him to the door. Before Sehun reaches for the doorknob he suddenly turns around and stares at Sejeong.

Sehun: Don't open the door to anyone. If I'm coming home I'll inform you first and put in the password. You can use everything you want,there are toiletries in the second top drawer in the kitchen. You can eat everything in the fridge, there isn't much tho. I will go for groceries tomorrow. I will bring you the breakfast tomorrow.

Sejeong nods. She is too tired to argue.

Sehun: I'll go first. See you tomorrow.

Sehun closed the door and it automatically locked. Sejeong walks to the room.

Let's just unpack tomorrow. I'm gonna take a quick shower and hit the bed.

When she enters the room, she sees that all her things has been unpacked and Nayoung is sleeping on the bed. Sejeong touches. What did she do to deserve all this kind people?

She takes a shower and hit the bed. However, she couldn't sleep. A lot of thought fills her mind, especially Sehun's confession.

She touches her chest. She still remembers how hard her heart beats when Sehun holds her hands.

Am I in love with hyungnim?
