Chapter 9

After a while of sitting there starring at the floor I talk. "Dad doesn't own a com-company like I'm thinking. He doesn't s-sit at a desk all day do-doing math and responding t-to emails like I think rig-right." Chase looks at me. He goes to speak but the door opens and a teacher walks in.

"What the heck are you doing in here you're supposed to be in homeroom." She says angrily and I look at Chase knowing he'll tell her cause I don't really like speaking to people I don't know especially adults I don't know.

He sighs "we were just having a little argument we were going to go to class." She looks at us then sighs "get to class now." We nod and leave the classroom "I-I'm sorry for y-yelling at you infront of-of the whole school." I say and he nods.

"it's fine you were over thinking and just thought we were embarrassed by you. When we're actually protecting you." I nod "I'll s-see you at lun-lunch." I walk into homeroom and I start my boring schedule.

It's lunch time and I walk into the cafeteria. Ryder is sitting with Hunter and his other buddies. Ruby is sitting with Chase and a few of his buddies. Ryder waves for me to come over but so does Chase.

I want to sit with Ryder but then Chase will think I'm choosing Ryder over him. But I also want to sit with Chase and talk to him about what he told me this morning. But then Ryder will think I'm choosing my brother over him. Then again Ryder's buddies are with him and I don't know them. But Chase's friends are with him and I don't know them either.

Ruby rolls her eyes grabs my hand and pulls me so just her and I are sitting at a table. "Hey I-I was" she cuts me off "you weren't going to choose between you're boyfriend and brother. You would've freaked out and sat at some random table full of people you don't know."

"Ryder isn't my boyfriend." I say defending myself and she crosses her arms across her chest with a smile "Then what is he?" She asks I look at Ryder and he's looking at me with a confused and curious expression.

I look back at her "well he-he ummm we-we're ummm well I-I'm not entirely sure wh-what he is to me." I quietly say and she rolls her eyes. "Well you better decide cause it's obvious he likes you. And there's a lot of girl's who are just waiting for you to say no just so they can have 1 night with him." My phone buzzes and I quickly take it out of my pocket.

It's a text from Ryder which is so weird cause he's literally at the table right next to me he could just talk to me. How are you and your brother? I heard you guys fighting this morning.

I text him back we talked for a little and we're all good now. How did you sleep last night? I send it and wait for him to answer. He looks at me with a confused look and I smile that cute smile I do and I tilt my head to the side a little.

He looks away and my phone buzzes a few seconds later. You do that cute smile 1 more time and I'm walking over to you and kissing you in front of everyone in the cafeteria. I imagine him do that and damn all the kids looking at us I'd hate that. I blush and look at the table. He chuckles and I glare at him.

I quickly text him. You said that on purpose just so I'd blush 😡. My phone goes off a little later. You have no proof my little Angel. I glare at him and he laughs a loud laugh that echos. I've never heard him laugh that hard before it's so cute.

He stops laughing and my phone buzzes yet again. Angel I sent that because I'm warning you not to do that smile or I'm going to kiss you. It wasn't to make you blush it was a warning. If you want me to make you blush I can 😏.

I quickly look at him and he's sitting at the table talking to his friends and eating whatever the heck he's eating. You won't be able to make me blush I'll stop myself. He picks up his phone and starts texting. My phone buzzes Is that a challenge little one? He continues typing for the next few minutes. Then a paragraph shows up on my phone.

Do you wanna know the real reason why I don't like when you do that cute innocent smile? Every time you do that cute smile I just want to slam you against the closest wall. And Choke you while kissing those beautiful kissable lips of yours. As i explore you're whole gorgeous body with my other hand. And no matter where we are I'm going to do dirty things to you that no innocent girl like you should do. As soon as I read the words slam you against a wall and choke you my cheeks go bright red. By the time I finish reading the paragraph my whole face is red.

I hide my face in my hands. I glance up at him and he's smirking. I hide my face and he laughs "ohhh yeah you definitely can stop yourself from blushing." He says mocking me and I look at him.

He smiles and I hide my face in my hands as I shake my head. "What did he say?" Ruby says and she grabs my phone. "No Ruby..." is all I say before she starts to read it. Her eyes get wide and she looks at Ryder. "That's so bad." He shrugs and smirks.

The bell rings scarring me and I sigh. I didn't even get to eat lunch. I walk to cooking class and the teacher said we're attempting to make donuts. Which means we get to eat them. The teacher says we need a partner for this.
Both Ryder and Chase look at me. Ruby sighs she walks over to Chase. "You're with me." She says and he nods.

I walk over to Ryder. "S-So when I do that cute sm-smile you don't actually wan-want to choke me and ki-kiss me right?" I quietly say and he chuckles. "Ohhh Angel i'd never lie to you. The only reason I haven't kissed you yet is A. We've known each other for a week and you'll probably think it's to fast. And B.I have control." He says and leans down.

"If we get together the first time we do anything it'll be a place where no one is around. That way they can't hear you're screams." He whispers and kisses my cheek before standing up. I blush and he chuckles. He takes my hand and pulls me to one of the stations.

We attempt to make donuts and they actually taste good. Well not as good as Dunkin' Donuts. But they are still good.  My belly is full and I'm hanging out with the guy I like so I am super happy right now. The bell rings and Ryder insists on walking me to my next class. "So I was thinking we go out this weekend." Ryder says and I look up at him confused.

"Why woul-would we go out f-for 2 days. I-If you want to date me we-we're going to be tog-together longer then 2 da-days." I say confused and he laughs. "No Angel I mean I want to take you out this weekend. Get you dinner at some fancy restaurant and you'll be dressed all fancy and look adorable like always." I smile "You're ask-asking me to go on a-a date with y-you." He nods and I smile.

I throw my arms around him hugging him. "Yes I-I-I would love to g-go on a date with y-you." He chuckles and kisses the top of my head before moving away. "Come on little one you can be excited later right now you need to get to class." I nod and walk into my art class with a huge smile on my face.
