It's Monday meaning school. I throw on ripped jeans a black shirt and my leather jacket. I eat and go in Chase's room and make sure his alarm is on. I hop on my motorcycle and drive to Dunkin' Donuts. I grab some food and drive to school.
I get there just in time and walk inside. I'm at my locker standing there hoping nobody can tell I'm mad. I'm no longer sad now I'm just pissed off and want to beat the crap out of Chase.
The school fills with students. I see Ruby and go to walk over to her, but someone grabs my arm. I quickly turn around and see Chase. "Let g-go of me." I demand and he looks at me "not until you talk to me." I glare at him "I'm talking t-to you now so l-let go of me." "I mean you continue talking to me."
I look up at him "hmmm how ab-about no." "Liv just stop you've been ignoring me all weekend." He says suddenly angry and I snap. "I'm sorry b-but I'm not embarrassed t-to be around you un-unlike someone." I say angrily and a lot louder then I meant because everyone looks at us.
Chase looks at me for a while before speaking. "I'm not embarrassed that you're my sister." "That's the m-most fucking bull crap I-I-I've ever heard. All of you are emb-embarrassed to be related to me. Dad,You,Dean th-that's why whenever dad ha.-had those stupid interviews for art-articles he only brought you and Dean and o-only talked about you 2." I basically yell and I glare at him.
"The amazing Gr-Green boys that's all D-Dad talked about. You 2 tak-taking over his company on-once something happened to him. He always brought you gu-guys to the office he never brought m-me I've never even se-seen the stupid place."
"It's not like that." Chase says angrily and I glare at him. I rip out of his grip and cross my arms across my chest "Then wh-what is it like. Why did Dad only t-talk about you and Dean and k-keep me a secret." He sighs "Look it's a long story." I roll my eyes "yeah well I-I've been kept a sec-secret for the pa-past 17 years so I th-think you should start talking." I say and the bell rings.
He sighs "I'll tell you later." I grab his arm "no you're te-telling me now or I'm te-telling the whole world that I'm Dad's secret d-daughter." He glares at me and I cross my arms across my chest.
He sighs and grabs my arm. He pulls me into a empty classroom. "Sit." He says and I slowly sit down. He leans against the teachers desk. "When mom was pregnant with us dad was so excited to have a girl. But when mom was in the last few months of the pregnancy dad started getting threats from bad people. They kept saying how they're going to kill a daughter or daughters if he ever had any." He's starring out the window but he's not looking at the window no he's just starring like zoned out as he's talking.
"At first Dad just ignored the threats, but then they started to get detailed. Some of them said things like they're going to kill his daughter by burning her alive. Others said they're going to wait until you're older take you and do bad things."
I look at him "wh-what kind of b-bad things." "They said they'd rape you or sell you as a sex slave." I sit there listening to him tell me about the threats and all the things people said they'd do to me.
"After a while dad had enough of the "threats" and he said that we will never speak of you. That you're going to stay hidden from the world so nobody will hurt you. Dad knew when we were born that a lot of people would try and take pictures of us at the hospital. So he called a doctor and mom gave birth to us at home. Mom stayed home from the office until we were 2. Then our Aunt came over and watched us. She made sure never to leave the house and if anyone came over she'd say you were her child." He looks at me I guess to see if I'm listening.
I nod and he continues talking. " In elementary school we did home schooling. But dad got tired of the threats he kept getting so he just sent us to school. He told Dean and I that we have to protect you no matter what. He said that the people you think are the nicest people could be working for the bad guys and they'll give you to them." No wonder dad wouldn't let me have friends in middle school.
"By the time we were Sophomores he figured the threats were stupid and he let us do whatever we wanted. We were ok for a few years no threats nothing, but when mom and dad got taken Dean and I knew one of the bad guys took them. They probably figured their kids will try and find them. In the process they'd find you and take you. That's why dad never took you to the office never taught you what he does. He kept you in the shadows for you're safety not because he was embarrassed by you." He looks at me and sighs.
"I told you over the phone that people wouldn't take you seriously and that they'd make fun of you. I said that because dad made us promise we'd never tell you about the bad guys. He said he's afraid that if you find out about them you're going to want to find the bad guys. We're trying to find them you don't have to worry about them. Just listen to me and don't say anything about being our sister. Don't even post a picture of you and Dean or I. They will find you and they will take you." He says and I gulp
"I-I-I don't want to ge-get taken." He nods "Then just listen to what Dean and I say and you'll be fine." I nod and quietly sit there.
There are people looking for me. There are people that want to kill me, others that want to rape me and others that want to sell me as a sex slave. What kind of company does dad run. Cause I don't think bad guys would want me if he works in a office all day doing math or having meetings and telling people about some product he sells. I don't think dad's company is the kind of company I'm thinking of.
