"A sad thing when in life sometimes you meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out in the end, it was never bound to be and you just have to let go.."
"Vaiduu" .."baby it's time.."
"Yes maa ...M ready.." says emerging out of the room, not looking very happy with the idea of going to school, while Shehnaaz crouches down straightening her tie..
"What's wrong" she asked, knowing the answer..
"Nothing..It's been 2 months maa, And I still don't have friends here..It was so easy vaha pe" she said whining..
"But baby now we are here na..What about Mishti, she was your friend na.." she asked, getting up picking her bag as they walked out of their apartment..
"She is..but still I miss talking in Hindi..I miss Rohan, Shaurya, and " she said pouting as they stepped in the lift..Shehnaaz interrupted knowing where she was heading to as she spoke..
"Vaidehi..baby maa always taught you to move on with life, hume new friends banane chahiye na..and Mishti is also nice baby..Or ap hindi m mumma se bat kar lia karo, ok?"she said kissing her while she smiled..
"Maa..I don want ki ap meri vjah se vapas jane ka socho, Aap ka work hai na..I will make more friends here..Mai bhi vo move on karungi..I love you mera puttu" Vaidehi says squeaking as she wraps her hands around her mother's neck, kissing her cheeks ...she noticed her mother's worried face..Shehnaaz smothered her face with kisses at how she had this magic of being so empathetic, so soothing to any paining heart...she was a blessing she thanked god every day for..she got up bidding her goodbye as she looked at watch checking time, as she started walking towards her office, it was hardly 5 minute distance from West Village, Manhattan to Hudson Yards...she rubbed her hands on her arms as she looked around, the hustling people ..some were jogging in their tracks, some were running to work..she herself was in a rush, but still amongst this her mind somehow made its time to walk back to a memory, to a memory of a person whose face will greet her every morning before work, it was an ardent rule like sunrise..
"I almost thought you won't come" she uttered as she looked at his car screeching in front of her she bid the auto off as she sat in the passenger seat, she leaned forward kissing his cheek as she got in while he refused to look at her still..
"Sidharth..bat nahi karni" she said looking at him as he drove silently..
"To aaya kyu fir" she asked again when he did not respond..
"Sidharth please.." she said in an almost heavy voice, which made him look at her in an instant..
"Kyunki chahe kuch ho jaye, sun never stops rising and the same way I can't stop loving you" he said in a throaty yet rigid voice, stating it like a fact as she smiled with watering eyes leaning her head on his shoulder..
"And I love you" she said in a soft tone placing her hand on his hand on gear..
"That is why you are leaving" he said in a hurtful tone..
"Can't we not talk about it for sometime" she asked looking up..
"Hmm" he said as he took another turn...
"So now we have nothing else to talk" she said after ten minutes of screeching silence..
"Tum bolo m sun raha hu" he replied in a straight tone..she just sat quitely till he stopped just outside her office building, he looked at her as she lifted her head up correcting her hair with her hands, she looked at him and then their entangled hands, he pulled away his hand from hers to leave looking away..
