it was the night before their anniversary and connie had spent the night at jeffs house, she decided it was time to go back home now that she got her feelings sorted out. She took her sweet time on the home and even picked up some food on the way back, just enjoying the scenery. When she got back home she hesitantly looked at the house before knocking on the door, the door slowly opened to see a puffy eyed spinel with shock on her face .
"Ummm, H-"
"CONNIE!!" spinel interrupted as she lopped her arms around connie and cried
"I-I missed *Hic* you so m-much" spinel sobbed
"Aww spinel i was only gone for 3 days im back" connie chuckled softly as she embraced the gem
"But it felt like-"
"Connie" she heard a gruff voice call
Connie shivered as she remembered that voice and it sounds like he is NOT happy, she looked up to see a very agitated steven with his arms cross and a look of disappointment. Connie instantly felt her surprised rage resurface.
"Seriously?, Hes mad at me, but he was the one whos been ignoring me" connie hissed in her mind
Connie's face didn't show emotion but her eyes held a fire.
"...Steven..." connie spoke back
"We need to have alittle discussion about your.....behavior" steven spoke with a sigh
Connie was resisting the urge to snap at him but held her tongue
" i guess so..." connie murmured back
They all went in the house and steven suggested that spinel go into her room and whatever she does dont come out
"Where have you been? HUH?!, do you know how much spinel cried because of you, she thought you left!!, How childish can you be!!?" steven yelled
Something in connie snapped
"So im childish for wanting to spend time with my husband huh?, Im also at fault for taking care of myself when you were to busy coddling spinel like shes fragile....Thats childish?,ME WANTING TO BE ALONE WITH YOU BECAUSE YOUVE BEEN ACTING LIKE A TOTAL DICK IS CHILDISH?!" connie shouted
"IT'S CALLED MARRIAGE STEVEN, YOUR SUPPOSED TO GIVE ATTENTION TO BOTH YOUR PARTNERS, NOT ACT LIKE ONE DOESN'T EXIST" connie screamed
"DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES IVE CAME FROM THOSE STAIRS PT CAME FROM WORK TO SEE YOU TREATING SPINEL LIKE A GODDESS BUT WONT EVEN GIVE ME A SIMPLE KISS, THAT HURTS, I FEEL LIKE A FUCKING STRANGER IN THIS HOUSE AND YOU DONT EVEN CARE!!!" connie screamed again as tears streamed down her eyes
Steven remained quiet his head low as a shadow cast over his eyes
"So....you dont got nothing to say?...." connie whispered
Silence filled the room.
"you know what....im done, i want a divorce...im leaving, you can spend all day treating spinel like the most precious gem on earth cause im sick of it" connie stated
Stevens head shot up quick.
"C-Connie wait, y-you dont mean that" steven asked shock
"Yes i do, i wish i would have never moved here, i wish i had never met you and got involved in all this bullshit, If i had known that i was gonna marry someone who wasnt even gonna act like i existed all because some gem came along i would have stayed with my parents" connie stated as she marched over to the phone
"Connie please I-"
"So it is my fault...."
Both steven and connie looked up to see spinel with her eyes downcasted and a small sad smile on her face with tears streaming down them.
"I guess i do deserve to be alone...I drove pink diamond away and now im driving you two away....I should have stayed in that garden" spinel murmured
Both steven and connie stared at her, eyes widened
"N-no spinel i didnt mean-"
"Its alright connie, i understand" spinel spoke softly
"Sweetie its just a misunderstanding we can work-"
"No steven, dont you see, youve been neglecting the perosn whos been by your side since you were little, and shes right you have been pushing her away......But you wouldn't have needed to if i hadnt been created" spinel said as she made her way to the warp pad
"SPINEL WAIT!!"
"thank you,for making me feel loved.....one last time" spinel sad as a weak smile came on her face and she warped away
Steven and connie rushed to the pad but she was already gone. They both got on and warped after her. They warped to a place steven had never been to before but were gussing it was pink diamonds cause it had the diamond symbol. They rushed off the pad and searched for her calling her name, splitting in opposite directions. Connie went to the west wing while steven searched the east.
"SPINEL< WHERE ARE ?!!!" connie yelled with a worried expression
"SPINEL?!" she called again
"SPINE-" connie heard sobbing comming from a clearing
She rushed to the clearing and saw spinle crying into her kness with her head down
"Spinel!!!" connie yelled with relief and tears as she hugged the gem comfortably
Connie was pushed off immediatly
"What are you doing here?" spinel asked with a shaky voice
"WE came here to find you" connie explianed
"You shouldn't be here, you need to leave before steven finds us" spinel murmured as she put her face back down in her knees
"Spinel you know i didn't mean what i said" connie tried to explain
"I Know that but that still doesnt mean it wasnt true!" spinel yelled
"I MESSED UP EVERTHING, JUST LIKE I DO EVERYTHING ELSE, INSTEAD OF DRIVING STEVEN AWAY , I DROVE BOTH OF YOU FROM EACH OTHER AND YOU LEFT JUST LIKE PINK DID TO ME" spinel screamed
"IT ISN"T FAIR!!, WHY CAN'T I BE HAPPY JUST....ONCE?!!!" spinel screamed as she pucnhed a pillar, forming a giant crack up the middle and up the giant dome, rattling the rocks
"I JUsst....want to be happy" spinle sobbed as she slid down the pillar on her knees
Connie looked at spinel with so much regret
"Spinel, we both love you....you know that, and you coming into our life was the best thing ever, youve both made us smile alot with your goofy personality, you didn't ruin anything, you improved it, we would never trade you for anything" connie spoke softly as she hugged spinel
Spinel bursed into tears adn buried her face into connies dress until she calmed down
"Better?.." connie asked softly as she kissed spinels forehead and stroked her hair softly
" *Sniff* mhm" spinel nodded
"Come on, lets find steven before he looses himself" connie suggested as she held spinels hands
"Ok" spinel laughed softly
*CRACK* *CRAZZ*
Connie and spinel looked up to giant rocks falling from the dome. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as the rocks fell and without thinking connie pushed spinel out of the way, saving her. Spinel covered her face as debris and rocks flew from the impact, as the dust settled her eyes widened as she saw connie unconscious with blood pooling out and let out the most blood curdling scream ever
"CONNIE!!!!!"
