To Where And Back Again

Authors notes: UnderTale and Deltarune are owned by Toby Fox. The only Character I own is the Main Character OC and Juna I made for this story. This is a work of fiction any character/s that may seem based on someone or something you own is a coincidence. Also any other AU that I may base a story element around is their respective owners'. Also seeing as many AUs have been stolen I couldn't find the original owners of some and I will not be saying which AUs I am using for the story elements

It had been a long road, after Swap Dee had visited a few more AUs, but now they felt they were almost home. As they came out of the portal, they were greeted with an unusual sight indeed. Their home, their apartment building was right there in front of them. Yet something was off, they were still a skeleton, and their were a few people passing by that didn't seem to see them. Only a small handful of people seemed to notice them, what's more they could still use their magic. Turning invisible, they walked the streets to see what was going on, everything was the same as before, the buildings were the same, the roads, the people. It was like a dream they just woke up from, yet they knew now it wasn't a dream. It was unreal, walking around their old city as a monster, as they walked by a news stand. They noticed the date of the paper, October 22 2xxx, thats impossible they thought. It was the day before they woke up in the UnderTale AU. How was that possible, racking their brain to figure it out they decided to check out a hunch. Spider skull-ing their way to their apartment it was getting dark as they looked inside. Dee felt a pit in their stomach as they saw inside, on the computer looking up Undertale stuff, was them. But that's not all they saw, in the corner of the room watching they saw something, no someone else. It was Gaster, watching Human Dee as he looked for someone to save his universe.

As Dee watched, Gaster vanished, looking around Dee knew he was still here somewhere. Gaster: "Very interesting, so this is the savior of my Universe. I would introduce myself but... I get the feeling you know who I am." Dee: "Of course, Gaster... you may not understand this but, I'm sorry for getting so mad later/earlier." Gaster: "I'm sure I'll figure it out, I must say you seem more child like than I thought. Honestly I am glad you get this chance to have childhood, though it maybe to short of one. Then again, if everything goes as planned..." Gaster trailed off into a mild chuckle before continuing. Gaster: "If you stay in D-scapeTale, you will probably be a child for a good while thanks to the resets. So it'll be fine to be a kid for a bit. Whether you want to or not, that's up to you." Dee: "I'm honestly more or less still coming to terms with emotions. being a normal child for a while may help me there. Though I doubt I'll get to be normal." Gaster: "True, you may not be a normal child, but I'm sure you'll be happy. Especially with Queen Toriel, though that may have to wait a bit." Dee nodded, as they talked the night away, the two of them felt like they got to know the other much better. This conversation helped Gaster choose Dee into being the one to save his universe, and it helped Dee get over the feeling of being used by Gaster in the first place. And while Dee didn't get any sleep that night, they felt refreshed like never before, as if a weight on their soul was lifted.

The next morning, Dee watched themself very closely, following them around the city to make sure what was to happen, would happen. As they got to the convenience store Dee remembered what happened, thinking quickly the teleported inside before Human Dee could see them. As Dee calmed down, they tried thinking back to what happened that day almost a month ago now. As they did, they noticed their human self looking at them, and ran off. Dee: "This is so weird, so the kid I saw back then was me and now I'm the me I saw then? Ugh so confusing, stupid time travel multiverse thing." Watching themself again, Dee noticed the world slowly turning gray around them both. All the people were gone, and it was like that day that felt so long ago now. Gaster: "Now it's up to you, you have to do this next part yourself." Dee: "What do I do?" Gaster: "You have to choose to go to that world and you have to take yourself their, literally." Dee: "How do I do that? I want to go back but how do I take myself?" As time seemed to loop in place, Dee noticed their hand slightly vanish. Dee: "What's going on?!" Gaster: "This is the very moment in time you were sent to D-scapeTale, the more it loops the more you'll vanish into nothingness. You have to figure out what to do NOW!" Dee was beginning to panic, they didn't know what to do besides think back to their adventure up till now. What was the answer? If it wasn't a car what was the light, what was the noise, it sounded familiar, they knew it but what was it? Closing their eyes they calmed themself down and thought though everything, as they faded more. Gaster began to get nervous as he watched them fade more, and more. Then it clicked, Summoning their Blaster they fired it at their human self, and just like that, everything went black.

For a second Dee thought they messed up, before they slowly realized they were asleep, they forced themselves awake. It was hard trying to wake themselves up after so long, as the familiar forms of Toriel and the Skeleton bros slowly came into view, Dee slowly sat up in Papyrus's bed. Looking around at everyone, Dee was suddenly hit with a powerful urge. Dee: "Oh omg, what the hell?! I think I really need to use the restroom, how is that possible?" Sans: "Woah, okay well that liquid magic does have some water in it. So that's probably why, plus you have been out for 21 days." Dee: "21 DAYS? Uah okay so firstly do you even have a restroom and secondly how does a skeleton use the toilet?" Sans: "Yea the bathrooms at the end of the hall near my room. Here I'll show you." Sans lead Dee quickly to the bathroom, and explained that they needed to imagine what they needed to use the toilet to use it before leaving them alone to do their business. As everyone sat down stair Dee was having a bit of an issue figuring out what to do. Dee: "Oh man, I need to go so bad I can't think straight, I wish I was still a human for this." As everyone waited the seconds turned into minutes. Toriel: "Do you think they'll be alright?" Sans: "I'm sure they'll figure it out, 'sides not like I could teach em. I'm not good with that kinda thing." Frisk: "I didn't know monsters could use the restroom." Sans: "Well when monsters where on the surface they'd eat human and monster foods, gave em more defense and a fuller form." Frisk: "If that's true, would you get more HP with a diet of human and monster food?" As they contemplated that question, from up stairs came a very high pitched scream. Running to the restroom Sans almost lost his hand when Dee slammed the Door shut before it could be fully opened. Sans: "Woah, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, okay all fingers a counted for heh, heh." Clearing his throat sans asked if everything was ok. Dee: (through the door) "Uh, quick question, where's my cloak?" Sans: "In you inventory, why?" Dee: "Cause, I just noticed I'm naked for one, and for two..." Equipping the cloak, Dee slowly opened the door and stepped out of the Bathroom. Sans: "What in the world?!" 

As Dee stepped out of the Bathroom, everyone was shocked to see a human child, a female human child wearing Dee's cloak. Which slowly changed into different clothing in front of everyone's eyes. (See title Pic, side note yes that is a prototype picture, yes they will look different if I get a comic made, but not to different.) Alphys: "OMG, you look like an anime character! NNMMMMBBHHMMM!!" Undyne: "Al calm down before you pop, but seriously what the heck happened?!" Dee: "You think I know?! I'm just as confused as you are!" As everyone tried to piece together what happened, Dee started to use their magic. As they did, they realized in this form they couldn't chain magic and could only use their wires, or their Blasters, but only one blaster at a time, and not while using their wires. Summoning a small blaster, made their wires vanish and vice versa, also their left eye glowed purple when using their magic. Frisk watched and looked at Dee kind of jealously, making cupping motions over their chest (note: Frisk is making the motion over their own chest not Dee's) Frisk: "Why is their chest already bigger then mine?" This question made Sans spit his ketchup in surprise, as everyone looked at Frisk. Toriel: "Well everyone develops differently my child." Dee: "Honestly I was thinking the same thing. I mean we're technically the same age, so why am I more er, developed." Alphys: "This is just like that anime episode were the friend gets jealous and starts padding their bra right before the big dance, Eee, hee, hee!" And with that, everyone's attention was once more drawn to Alphys, who started blushing and became very quiet. Juna: "So~, could I also turn back to a human?" Dee: "Uh~, who is this?" Toriel: "This is Juna, they were a human too... before..." Dee: "I see... that reminds me, I kind of figured out.... how to use creation magic while traveling." Everyone was in shock at this revelation, turning to Dee they gathered in very close, almost to close. As Dee got everyone to sat down they began their tale.
