Draco was in heaven, and in hell, all at the same time. He and Mel lay side by side on one of the sectional couches in the Room of Requirement, and they had been kissing for what felt like hours. He had told himself when they began dating that he would wait for her to explain her comfort level with the physical aspect of their relationship, but almost two months later and they hadn't done more than some extensive kissing. It was nearly impossible to look at her gorgeous, swollen lips and blue eyes and hold back, and his resolve was crumbling. He pulled away, taking deep breaths.

"Time to stop?" she asked breathlessly, smoothing her hair.

"Well..." he said, moving closer to her again, "you know I don't really want to stop..." he said, putting his hand on her thigh. She suddenly tensed up.

"I know, but it's actually pretty late - I have an essay I need to finish, so I should probably be getting back," she said quickly. She stood up and straightened her jumper. He sighed.

"Okay, just give me a minute..." he said, willing his heart to stop beating so quickly. It had been the same routine for the past few weeks. Him testing the waters, her shutting it down quickly. He wished he knew what she was thinking. She changed the subject, talking about class, and he walked her back to her dormitory, giving her a kiss goodnight. She smiled and stepped behind the painting.

Mel opened the door to see Ginny sitting blessedly alone in the common area. Ginny smiled wickedly.

"Well, look at you! That does not look like the hair of someone who has been studying for the past three hours," she said grinning. Mel turned bright red. "Did Malfoy get some tonight?"

"No... actually, I wanted to talk to you about this." Mel said slowly. "You've had... a lot of boyfriends, and I'm assuming some of them have... wanted to do more than kiss?" Ginny snorted.

"Some of? All of. And if your question is have I, the answer is yes. All of it," she said pointedly. Mel sat down beside her, interested. "With Harry, no. I mean, it's so new, just a few weeks ago, although we have done... a few things," she admitted. "But with Dean? Yes."

"The thing is, I've never... done anything. Like, at all," Mel admitted.

"Okay, that is a surprise to no one. You ooze the vibe of virgin queen," Ginny said, laughing. "Have you said anything to Draco about it?"

"No - I just know that he's so much more... experienced than me."

"I'd say - pretty sure he's snogged at least half the school."

"Okay, that is not helpful, Ginny," Mel said, frustrated. "I know that. I just don't even know where to start."

"Just talk to him. Honestly. On the plus side, he knows exactly what he's doing, and I am sure by now he is dying to show you the ropes. Actually, I can't believe he's kept it in his pants for so long."

"Barely," Mel said, "every time we're together I can tell he's dying to." Ginny laughed.

"He's obsessed with you. I think he would wait forever, in the hopes he could one day see you naked. But actually, just talk to him. You don't need to do anything unless you want to."

Draco held Mel's hand as they walked into the Room of Requirement that night - though she had been a bit quiet that day, he was unconcerned. Then, he walked in - and saw the bed, sitting there, perfectly made, that had never appeared before. He turned to Mel, who had turned bright red.

"Care to... explain?" He asked, "But whatever it is, just let me say that I am thrilled."

"I, um, wanted to talk to you." She said, sitting down on the corner of the white sheets. "I know that you've been... eager to, you know. Be more physical. It's not that I don't want to. I've just been nervous, because I know you're pretty experienced, and... I'm not. At all. Solitary living doesn't really give you much opportunity to meet people." She started at him.
