Chapter 07

Whenever I woke up everything that had happened just came rushing back to me as I became very overwhelmed. I looked up and only Eli was in the room with me holding my head on his lap and stroking my hair. I quickly sat up almost immediately regretting it as I felt dizzy.

I turned to Eli who was looking off in thought. "Eli what's going on?" I called out to him.

He turned his head to me giving me a saddened smile. "They figures out the royals don't die from just a stake to the heart."

"What, how did that find out?" I cried out worried for Eli's safety.

He held me against him and rubbed my arms gently. "They went back for my body and found I wasn't there." He looked so sad. "My father went out there to try and get them off our trail."

I hugged him to me. "Are you worried for your father?" He nodded.

Dawn then opened the door looking just as sad as Eli as she walked in and stood in front of Eli and I.

"Destiny dear please hear me out." Dawn basically begged me.

"Okay I'm sorry it's just a lot to take in." I spoke quietly scared my voice would crack.

Dawn looked at me sympathetically. "I know dear but you're the only one who can save us and my mate." I nodded just waiting for her to go on. "You have the choice to be bitten, you could drink the blood of a royal, or you can chant this spell Lilith was sent."

I was terrified to speak so Eli squeezes my hand. "Mother which would be less painful?"

"Being nite will hurt, and we've never had anyone say this spell so we are not sure how it works." His mother smiled down to us with sympathy. "I know this is not what either of you want but it's the only way."

"I'll do it." I spoke up. "I'll drink the royal blood." I gulped nervous about my decision.

Eli looked to his mother with a pleading look as if telling her to give us some privacy. Dawn slowly walked out of the door closing it quietly behind her.

"Are you sure about this?" Eli was looking for confirmation of my decision. I nodded smiling weakly. "Okay."

I watched Eli as his fangs slowly began to slide out of his gums I got a little nervous seeing them. He then took his wrist up to his mouth sinking his fangs into his own flesh. He then moved his arm away from his mouth as I watched his fangs contract back into his gums.

I looked to his arm where two puncture wounds were blood was flowing slowly. I was extremely nervous as Eli watched me cautiously.

"All you have to do is drink a little bit and then you will feel the pain of shifting." He spoke calmly keeping me calm.

I nodded as I grabbed his arm pulling his wrist close to my mouth as my lips touched his flesh I felt the sparks. I began to suck a little tasting that metallic taste on my tongue but for some reason it tasted sweeter than any other blood. As I finished sucking enough of his blood he took his tongue and lapped it against the wounds and they disappeared.

I felt the pain that they said would come but it was number by the sparks of Eli touching my body. As we sat there I felt something protruding from my gums, my eyes swapped over from the dull brow they usually were to a bright red. Eli noticed that I was going through the shift as he looked at me surprised.

"No one has ever gone through the change so fast." He stated. "How are you feeling?"

I grabbed at my throat as it burned like I swallowed fire. I presume Eli understand because he started to speak to me.

"Your thirsty, so you're just going to bite into my neck where you will leave your mark and drink until the burning goes away." He explained to me.

I nodded as I found the spot in the crook of his neck and I sank my fangs into his neck. The smell of his blood was like candy to my nose, it smelt so sweet making me moan unaware of what I was doing.

As the burning in my throat subsided I slide my tongue against the area where my fangs had sunk in. I pulled back as I looked to his neck there was a little golden heart with the letters DS inside.

Eli then looked to me for approval of leaving his mark on me. I tilted my head giving him more access to my neck as I waited. I felt his fangs sunk in and again I let a moan out at how sensual it felt he lapped his tongue over his mark as I gasped for breath.

Whenever he pulled back and saw his mark a smirk appeared on his face as he came to my ear and whispered, "We will finish this later."

I groaned knowing just what he meant. The door to the room then burst open as Jezebel came running in looking furious. I wasn't sure what her problem was or who it was with.

"YOU!" She yelled as Dawn and Lilith came into the room tears rolling down their cheeks.

Eli looked to his mother and sisters with his eyebrows raised wondering what was going on. Had them becoming one not worked?

As Dawn looked to Eli it clicked as to why they were so upset Eli fell to the ground as he cried out, "NOOO."

Jezebel continued to look at me with hatred evident in her eyes. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT."

I stood there clueless as to what happened and how it was my fault as Dawn and Lilith continued to cry harder, Eli just punched the ground repeatedly while Jezebel continued to glare at me in hopes of killing me.
