As Malak stares at Y/n intently with his empty eye sockets, he tries to keep his cool and hopes that he doesn't anger the demon any further. He heard the stories about Malak and how ruthless he is when he had to deal with a problem personally. He remembers hearing the story about how he would create the gold watchers.

Malak: "Well mortal...I'm waiting." He said, growing impatient.

Y/n: "A-about two years ago two members of the Phenex family came to my house and my family refused to sell to them. I don't know why they wanted to buy our house. We refused and their second son, Riser, lashed out and burned down my home, killing my parents, and kidnapping my brother. After that, I went to my grandparent's house to stay for the rest of the night, and in the morning the police arrived and put me under custody because I was the prime suspect of the fire and my parent's deaths. If it wasn't for a lack of evidence, then I would have been falsely accused of arson with disregard for life and spent the rest of my life in jail. I lost my friends, all the respect from peers and staff members at my school, and I had trouble applying for a part-time job since I had to "suspected of arson" on my resume."

Malak: "And you wanted revenge for what they did and you eventually discovered us and we made a deal: We allow you to become one of our many hunters and can purchase any of our equipment and resources, in exchange, you will give us a 30% cut of every contract you take, and your soul." he finished

Y/n: "Yes, that is correct." He said.

The golden door open, revealing a goldwatcher, except this one was dressed in a suit, that your average office worker would wear. The gold watcher walks to the desk, with the same creep grin the other ones have and place a piece of paper with a picture of Y/n's face on the top right corner. It then turns around and walks out of the room. Malak grabs the piece of paper.

Malak: "You have also completed multiple contracts, usually killing low-class stray devils who have gotten to the human world and from people who pay us for doing certain deeds. Nothing too dangerous, just delivering things from here to there and taking care of some people." He waved his hand from side to side to emphasize. "Overall would say that you have done.....mediocre for a human." He stated.

Y/n: "Thank you." He said.

Malak: "That wasn't a compliment, I was just quoting what's on your file. I have to agree with them on the mediocre part." He said, showing his disinterest with the human.

He put the file down and pushed it towards Y/n and stands up. He pulls out a golden ashtray from his drawer and puts out his cigar. He walks over to the window behind his desk and looks at the red moon, thinking about the boy. While Malak is reflecting, Y/n is reading his file and it states exactly what Malak said; a record of all of his contracts and "jobs" that he has done. It even talks about his "stats" such as strength, fitness, intellect, etc. Including anything else of interest, such as views on religion, and family background.

Malak then turns around, walks to his desk, and sits down in his chair with a determined look.

Malak: "Tell me, Y/n, have you gotten your revenge yet?" The demon asked.

Y/n: "I....no. I haven't, but that doesn't mean I won't keep-

Malak raises his hand, silencing Y/n. He uses the same hand to summon an orange circle with a glyph in the middle, on his palm. The glyph was the same as the tattoo on my back. Malak raises his hand to his ear.

Malak: "Bring in the punishment." He said, coldly.

It took Y/n a second before processing what Malak just said and what is about to happen to him. When he did, his eyes widen in fear.
