He's beautiful.
That's my first thought when we lock eyes, our shirts almost see through. As soon as it started, it ended and the moment broke.
"Erm... excuse me..." I rapidly blink out of my trance and hum in response.
He sheepishly rubs his neck and asks, "Do you know what time the next bus comes around here? I'm kind of new to this area".
The next thing I know, he's hovering over my half naked body in an empty motel room, staring at me and my body with wide eyes.
How did we get here? Let me tell you.

After work, I hurriedly sprint to the bus stop, only a minute away. Come on. Come on. As soon as I get there, I look for the bus, but to no avail. I glance at my watch again, -10:42 pm- . Shoot. Breathe in. Breathe out. I continuously say this to myself as I blink back tears from pure frustration.
I don't know how much longer I can keep these emotions bottled up.
As soon as I think this, my tears start to fall. I miserably stare down at the puddle below me, as the pouring rain continues to hit my head, my shoulders, and my exposed knees.
What should I do? I should just sleep in the closest alleyway I can find. I don't have enough money to rent out a room for the night.
As these thoughts fill your head, I finally notice that the rain isn't hitting my head anymore. Maybe luck wanted to be on my side today.
Almost smiling, I look up to the sky, expecting gloomy clouds, or even stars, but I look up to see... fabric? An umbrella. I whip my head to the owner of the umbrella on your left. My heart nearly stops.
He's beautiful. I stare at his face in awe. He has the face of any Korean actor, heck he could even be one. He has nice, plump lips with a round, button-like nose. My heart skips a beat when the stranger turns and locks eyes with me. Dark and mysterious eyes. I quickly glance away, a slight blush forming. Thank goodness I was crying, or he'd have noticed the blush.
"Erm... excuse me..." I turn your head and see the mysterious man talking to me. Keeping my cool, I hum in response.
He sheepishly rubs his neck and asks, "Do you know what time the next bus comes around here? I'm kind of new to this area". He glances at me.
"The last bus just left". I manage to respond calmly, except for my quivering voice from crying moments before.
It's a blunt statement, enough for him to slump his shoulders and groan, leaning on the bench. The umbrella is still hovering over your head, even as he's getting soaked. He slowly pulls his fingers down his face, as if this is the worst thing in the world. Of course he thinks that. Someone like him is probably not used to this type of suffering. Get used to it rich boy. I'm not your fan either.
"Is there any place I can stay for the night?" he quietly asks. I flinch, interrupted from my thoughts.
"Uhh... there's this motel down the block..." I answer, my voice slowly getting drowned out by the loud rain.
He murmurs a quick thank you and leaves. Heading the complete opposite direction of the motel. I stifle a laugh, despite all the things that happened today. I start to stand up, only to realize that he left his umbrella. I run to him, to give him back his umbrella that he so kindly gave me.
"Sir! I believe you forgot this!" I exclaim, holding the umbrella above his head. He's taller than I thought. His eyes snap to me and his features quickly relax after seeing my face.
"Oh, I thought you were someone else" he exhales a breath, "You can keep that, don't worry. Use it to walk back home, your house shouldn't be too far from here right?" he pushes the umbrella back over your head.
Ha. If only he knew that this place was 20 minutes away from my home. Using the bus.
"Um yeah. It's pretty close" I rub the back of my neck, I've never been a good liar, "And that's the wrong way to the motel" I quickly add.
I watch from behind as the man's ears turn a darker and darker shade of red. I muffle my laugh. He turns around to face me and laughs nervously. Cute laugh.
"I'm sorry but c-can you walk me there?" he asks shyly, "But you don't have to of course. I don't want to be an inconvenience" he adds.
I smirk and nod your head, walking us both to the motel. Trying to relieve the awkward tension, I make conversation with the stranger. He seems friendly enough.
"So...what's your name?" Aish. I mentally cringe at how uncomfortable and desperate I sound.
"My name?" he seems started by the question.
Is that a weird question? No, it's pretty normal to me, that's how I always introduce myself, but maybe that's just me?
"My name is... Jay?" He says that almost like he's asking me? It's obvious he's lying, but I just go along with it.
"Do you know who I am at all?" He asks you boldly, without a second of hesitation.
Considering the fact that you have more things to worry about than K-Dramas and handsome Korean actors, I shake my head.
"I don't keep up with that type of stuff". I expect him to be offended that I haven't watched his movie or something or have never even seen or heard of the guy. Instead, he breathes a sigh of relief and smiles at me when I reach the motel.
I turn on my heels to leave him be but he grabs my wrist and tugs me toward the counter with him. Right to the receptionist. I stare at him in disbelief.
"I'd like two rooms for tonight please"
What. Did. He. Just. Say?!
