I'd been exploring the expansive room for about ten minutes and was climbing a rolling ladder when the doors creaked and steady footsteps made their way closer to me.

I turned and, finding the Doctor approaching the ladder I was perched on, waved halfheartedly. "Hey. The Doctor pushed gently on the base of the ladder, rolling me to another section about fifteen feet to the right. When I lookedto the shelf, all of my favorite books were lined up neatly at eye-level.

"How...?" I trailed off, delighted but confused.

The Doctor shrugged and said, "The library was a smithsonian until about a week ago. Then the doors sealed themselves, changed, and wouldn't let anyone in for a few hours. Then, when they opened again, this is what it looked like. With that section, out of place and clearly supposed to be there."

I ran my hand lovingly across the spines and asked, "Where are the fiction books?"

The Doctor gestured for me to climb down the ladder. When I, grudgingly, touched the floor, he shrugged. "Why don't you show me? This is your library."

I sighed and cast my gaze over the shelves slowly. Something in my gut told me to walk to the right. Down the middle of the library was a wide, spacious aisle that had disconnected hallways leading to other rooms; one was a very high tech-looking computer lab with sleek, black computers. Another was a lunge room, similar to the sitting roomin the beginning of the library, but on a smaller scale.

I faced the more closed-off section, farther in the back, and a gut feeling told me boring. "That's nonfiction," I muttered, unsure.

The Doctor smiled. "You're getting the hang of things."
