I watched in amazement as this British guy in his magic box strode out to wag a finger at the thugs in a chastising way. "You all know better than to scare a girl that way. Where's your chivalry?"

As he was scolding the men, who were too shocked to do much of anything, a red-haired woman poked her head out the door and looked at me. "You coming or not?" she asked.

I sat up and tried to clamber to my feet, but my ankle sent out a shooting pain and I fell to my butt again. On my way down, I managed to hook a finger around my knife and pull it to me. I guess the knife made a small noise as it slid on the asphalt, because the man with the bow tie and suspenders looked to me and pointed. "And look, you've hurt her. Shame on all of you. Amy, help her into the TARDIS, please, while I deal with these... ruffians."

Amy rolled her eyes at the man's theatrics, and walked out to me. "Gimme your hand." I wearily placed my scraped up hand not holding the knife into her extended one, and she hauled me to my feet.

Another shorter-haired man stuck his head out the door and, seeing Amy struggling to help me over, strode out to us. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"What's wrong is I'm getting passive-aggressively kidnapped my magicians," I muttered, making the man snort and Amy frown.

As soon as we got to the door, the first man to step out of the box had finished yelling at the thugs. "If you try anything like this again, I will know and I will come back," he threatened. Then he turned around and strode through the door, throwing a "You coming, Ponds?" over his shoulder nonchalantly.

Amy let go of me and slipped through the door, followed quickly by the second man. I was left right in front of the door, wondering how we'd all fit in the small box. I glanced to the thug that I'd slashed with my knife, which was in my hand still.

All he offered was a shrug. "The man's got to be an alien. Let's get out of here, before we get killed," he muttered to his gang. They left quickly, melting into the shadows, leaving me alone.

The first man opened the door again and looked at me seriously. "Are you coming in? We don't have all night."

I shrugged and pushed on the door, slipping past him into the box. But as soon as I limped in, I had to stop quickly. The box was at least twenty times bigger on the inside than it was on the outside.

The men and Amy lined up in front of me as I leaned on the now-closed doors in shock, my knife tilting down as my grip loosened.

"Alright," the bow tie man said, "This is the TARDIS, that's Amy Pond, this is Rory Williams, and I'm the Doctor. Any questions? Comments?"

I was still looking around when I said, "The man wasn't lying. You're an alien, not a friggin' magician."

Amy crinkled her nose and asked, "Anything else?"

"Uh," I mumbled. "Doctor what?"

"Just the Doctor," the Doctor replied. "There's something that you want to say. Everybody says it."

My gaze finally settled on the trio in front of me as I raised my knife. "You're not demons, are you?"

Amy and Rory looked shocked, and the Doctor squinted at me, like he'd just realized something. "No, we aren't. That's an unusual question. What would make you think that?"

The hand holding my knife was trembling, and I slid down the doors. "I think I'm gonna pass out."

And then everything went dark.

I'm sorry for the extremely short chapter, I really am!! That's just where it cut at. Chapter song is Don't You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia. I promise to have more chapters up soon, but the first two have been written for awhile... :) sorry!!
