Chapter 8:

Your POV

It's so cold.....

It's so dark....

Jimin I'm scared.....

"Don't be scared my child.." A woman's voice spoke.
I opened my eyes and looked around. Darkness is the only thing I could see.
"Hello?" I said but all I could hear was an echo. I sighed and looked around. Suddenly my necklace started to glow. My eyes went wide as I looked down at it.
Suddenly the room started to change. I looked in amazement at what was around me.
Water surrounded me and a woman sat in a chair. She was beautiful. She had long light purple hair that float in the water. Her eyes were the same as mine and she had on a dark blue swim suit top that showed a little of her stomach. She had many peircings and her necklace looked exactly as mine. In her arms she held a baby as she smiled down at her with love. One thing that freaked me out a little was her tail. She had a long light purple tail that had a little bit of light green and dark blue in it. Her tail looked that of a mermaids.
I turned my head and saw the same woman but she was next to me and didn't have her necklace. "Who.." I started but it came out as a whisper, I cleared my throat. "Who are you?"
"My, look at how you've grown!" The woman smiled and covered her mouth as tears filled her eyes. "My dear child is all grown up."
"What-" I was cut off.
"I know you have some questions, let me show you everything you need to know." The woman smiled and everything began to shift.
The next scene was at the beach. This time the woman was younger, she had shorter hair and laid on top of a rock while half of her body was underwater. A man sat in front of her. "When I was 20 I fell in love with a man who lived on land. The king at the time forbidden anyone to go to the shore though. I once read a book about this spell that can turn mer-folk into humans for as long as they wish. So I did the spell..." The scenery shifted as she spoke the story, I watched quietly. "I did the spell on a shell so I could wear it and be on land and sea. The king didn't like that because he fallen deeply in love with me. He called me a witch and said I should be punished so I went into hiding. I kept doing magic though. Later I became pregnant but not long after I gave birth the king found out that I beared a child that wasn't his and sent his men after me and everyone I loved. I was in hiding for half a year but they found me. I had to flee with my child. Before I left her though I gave her my necklace that kept her to stay on land. I put a spell on her before we were found though, saying that if I ever had to leave her because of the king that on her 16th birthday she would learn about her past and that she would know what she truly is." The woman spoke and looked over at me.
"Yeah but what does any of this have to do with me?" I asked extremely confused.
"Don't you see Y/n that baby is you." She smiled and turned towards me completely. I covered my mouth in shock as I began to cry. "My dear you have great friends who will keep you safe. On the night of your birthday you will become one of your kind again and show to the king that you are innocent and that he can't kill you." She said as she began to fade away.
"W-wait where are you-? No come back!!!"
