Zak's PO

I sat up in the hospital bed, not remembering a clue of why I was there and what had happened the night before.

Why.. Was I here..?

Where's Darryl..

Why does everything hurt so much..?

I looked around the room and called for one of the nurses. They told me my friends were in for questioning, and I wouldn't be able to leave for about a week.

Questioning? Why would they be in..

Wait.

Darryll.

Callahan..

"Goddamnit!" I yelled, head in my hands. This is gonna jeopardize with us quite a bit. I hope Darryl's okay.. What about the others? What about the house, the guns, the EVERYTHING--

I managed to calm down a bit, but it was hitting me hard. Why did this have to happen? Why did anyone have to say anything to anyone?

.

.

.

I need to find Darryl.

Darryl's POV

I was taken into questioning that night. They said that only 1 bullet hit him where immense damage was done, but I would still have to pay a fine for it. They said because it was self defense it wouldn't be set against me, but he would have to do jail time and be charged. That was good for me in my case.

I sat up, awoken from the chair I was in inside the police station and went back to the office to sign another paper. After that, I was free to go.

I need to go to the hospital.

I called an uber and sat there, waiting for it to arrive, worry catching up to me. Is he gonna be okay? What if one of the bullets brisked him? What if he's in a coma? Man, what am I gonna do...

The uber got here and I jumped in.

"Redwoods hospital, Washington Avenue, please-!" I said, in a huffed voice. The uber immediately got the message and went faster than a regular car should've.

We got there in less than 10 minutes, me thanking and paying the driver and running inside.

"Ah, excuse me, can I get the room number for Zak Ahmed?" I said, tired from the run in.

"Oh, sure! Let's see, Zak Ahmed.. Ah, he's in room 17 on the 4th floor-"

"THANK YOU!" I jogged to the elevator, pressing the number 4. When I got there, I saw Zelk, George, Vincent, Clay and Finn all there.

"Darryl!" Zelk said, being the first one to notice me running up to them.

"H-hey.. I'm.. Here.." I sat down on one of the chairs, out of breath.

"So, what's happening with the cops?" Clay asked, looking over from a clingy George.

"Just.. A fine.. For now.. Callahan has to do time.. So we'll be okay.." I sighed, taking in a breath and exhaling. I saw them all to a 'Victory Grab' where they all held their hand in the air like they'd be saying 'Hi' then pull down at each other. I laughed a bit, then remembered why I was here in the first place.

"S-so, how is he?" I looked over at them, all of them still having a dance party in the corner.

"He's okay, he just cant have visitors right now." Finn said, pointing to the sign on his door.

I nodded, putting my head in my hands. At least he's okay...
I sighed as a nurse came out.

"Is one of you.. Darryl, or know of what's happening with him? He won't calm down, and he doesn't have his phone on him right now.." She held a clipboard in her hand, looking at us all. Then they all looked at me.

"Oh, yeah, that would be me.. Is he okay?" I got up, walking toward her.

"Yes, just swells and a fracture, but he should be fine.. You can see him, but only for a while." She sighed, obviously knowing im not supposed to be there.

I walked in and he immediately went from a bored frown to an excited smile.

"Darryl! What's happening? Where's everyone? Why can't I have my pantsss?" He seemed unenthusiastic about it all.

"It's okay, I only have a fine and I'm good. The others are outside, but I'm the only one aloud in right now.." I smiled at him, my worry leaving me as we talked.

"That's good, but I want them here, too.." He pouted a bit, obviously on something.

"They aren't aloud in yet, only I am.."

"That's bullcrap!"

"I know it is.. But we can't do anything about it. Hospitals rule."

"hOsPiTaLs rUlE-- its stupid! We should be able to have visitors!"

"I now realize why they let me in here.." I sighed, and kissed him on the cheek to shut him up a bit.

"..okay, I feel a bit better now.." He said, still pouting.

"That's good. I'm glad you are." I hugged him, and relieved myself for the moment. Just as I was doing so, everyone rushed in.

"They finally let us in!" Clay said.

"Doctors are annoying.. How are you holding up?" George said.

"I've never felt so bored in my life.." Finn complained.

"Glad to see you're okay!" Zelk said.

"This is bullshi--crap..." A6d said, speaking on the time Zak had to stay in the hospital.

"Well, now we're all here, and it's okay." I said, laughing.

Let's hope it'll stay okay..

Somewhere else, nobody's POV

He sat there in the hospital bed, eyes wide open, shoulder wrapped.

"This.. Is not how it was supposed to go.." Callahan, now bedridden, sat up as he woke from a 2-day slumber. The former boyfriend of Darryl was now mad that he 1, didn't have Darryl and 2, was left in a hospital bed miles from where he lived.

He grew red as he got angrier, wanting an explanation from the night before. I was supposed to bring Darryl with me, talk about what happened, make him pay up for lost time then leave. THIS. Is not how it was supposed to go.

I won't stay in this bed forever. I wont stay here at all. I'm going to get you back. I won't leave without you, Darryl...
