Christine-
"Hello my Angel." Erik says looking deep into my eyes.
"Oh, Erik, how I've missed you dear." I entwine our fingers, bring him in for a kiss and sit up a little bit. "I can't believe we're married. I'm finally all yours Erik." I say receiving a wicked grin in return.
"And I you, my love." He says and kisses the back of my hand.
"So? How did it go? What was the gift? Did you have a nice time?!" I ask excited.
He chuckles in response. "Christine it was, fantastic, I did not know that side existed in those two. We had a lot of fun. We ate, we sang, we played games. I'll never forget it."
"Oh that's just wonderful darling, really that makes me so happy." I say cupping his face with my hands.
"Ah and the gift! What a surprise!" He says and I remove his mask again.
"Oh? Really, do tell." I say awaiting his answer, I can see how excited he is.
"The Opera House." He says and I tilt my head.
"The Opera House.... what?" I ask and he shrugs. "Wait! The Opera House?! What on Earth! That's fantastic! But wait, does that mean they're leaving, please say it isn't so." I say.
"No, no they aren't, as of now we're all basically partners but they know they won't be around forever, and well, we all know the Opera House is mine to begin with."
"Very true." I say running my hand down the fabric of his vest.
"However! That's not all, behind my paper saying the Opera House belongs to me, are the papers to sign it over to the next person." He says placing his hand on my stomach.
"Oh! Wow, my goodness that is one great gift! But they don't.. know about this do they?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"No, they don't." He says and I nod. I scoot off of Erik to sit right next to him, and he grabs part of the skirt and lets it run through his fingers.
"Good heavens Christine, this dress!" He says and I squeal.
"Isn't it just lovely!" I ask, "I see why you kept it a surprise!" He says and I grin.
"You'll get to see me in it all night! I can't wait to dance with you Erik, as your wife." I say and he smirks at me as I place my finger over his lips.
"Yes I'm aware not actually 'all night'." I say and scrunch my nose as I laugh and he laughs with me. He brings me in for a kiss as the carriage goes over a bump and we both go a couple inches in the air. I land on his leg and stare at him in shock for a second, but then we both laugh. After kissing for a few minutes, I sit back up to catch my breath. "Wow!" I say.
"I know." He says matter of fact like, and I shake my head. Erik takes my hand and begins; "So how was- oh? What's this?" He asks looking at my mother's pinky ring. I sigh, "My mother's."
"Oh, really?" Erik asks looking at it closer.
"Mhmm, father had it, it was to go to me but then, he died, as you know. Antoinette kept it safe, and decided I would get it on my wedding day. She gave it to me as my 'something old'."
"It's absolutely beautiful, I'll bet your mother was too." He says and I happily sigh again.
"Something old?" He asks curiously.
"Ah! Yes, the four gifts a bride gets for good luck on her wedding day." Erik sits sideways and crosses his legs while resting his arm over the seat.
"So what is it? What are the other three?" He asks even more curious.
