Mrs MusicTeacher told us to work on our performance assignment at home with our partners. Of course, I wanted to do this, but Luke left without another word to anyone. I couldn't really do a duet by myself so I guess I'll just chill for tonight, watch some Pretty Little Liars, maybe some American Horror Story. Sounds like a good night to me.
I sat by myself on the school bus. What else is new? Julia doesn't go on my bus. She lives on a different street. It kinda sucks, having no one that likes you on your bus, let alone your street...
It's really annoying having Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Michael Clifford on your bus. They are the biggest pricks I know. Even Ashton is better than them - well, slightly.
"Oi, you!" Someone shouted from behind me, throwing a balled up piece of paper at me.
I turned around to see Calum nodding towards the paper I now held in my hands. I opened it nervously, with these boys you never knew what to expect.
I was barely able to read the scruffy handwriting. When I was able to disipher the seemingly impossible scrawl, it read 'i will never talk to u or work with u so forget it dork! We r asking mrs elliot to change parteners'. Charming. He even misspelled partners..
That had all gone back to talking amongst themselves so I decided to write a reply. 'I wasn't in anyway hoping to work with you, so don't flatter yourself...' I threw it at them and it hit Luke right in the face. He read it and passed it to Calum and Michael. He glared at me while the other two read incredibly slowly. Luke got the paper back and was writing a reply when the bus stopped at my house. Phew!
I don't know where my sudden burst of confidence came from with that note, I guess I was just angry? I dunno. Anyway I won't have to deal with them until tomorrow - I hope.
When I got home I had dinner then just lounged on the couch.
I was in the middle of watching another episode of American Horror Story when the doorbell rang. I looked at the time. 8:00. Who could that be? I have no friends, my siblings' friends will all be asleep by now, and my parents friends are all sophisticated and wouldn't come round without calling first. They also probably wouldn't come around after 4:00. I don't really like them and their fancy-pants kids.
"Haylee, sweetie, can you get that?" My mum called from the twins room upstairs.
I mumbled a yes but she couldn't hear me because of the twins whining about going to bed. I walked to the door and opened it. No one there. I've seen horror movies like this before. I might have been scared had it not been for my mum and brother and sister upstairs. But then again, they wouldn't keep me safe... Oh well, maybe they left because I took so long to answer the door. Oh well...
I went and sat back down and pressed play. Oh no! SPOILER ALERT! Don't kill Maggie! Oops too late... Well done crazy puppet man... What's his name again? Hmmm... Maybe they'll say his name in the episode soon.
Was that the door again? I think so. I went to the door and opened it again. And again, nothing. I was beginning to wonder if maybe our doorbell was broken. I went and sat down again.
Half an hour passed and then the doorbell rang again. Do I check again? Yes, yes I do... Great thinking, Haylee. But this time when I opened the door I did see something. I saw the weakest link, and the slowest runner, Michael Clifford. Oh wow! They are so mature, playing knock and run. I rolled my eyes and called, "I know it's you three, and I won't be opening the door anymore. Idiots..." But I mumbled the last bit.
I heard three dark chuckles and sighed. I really don't like them. I closed the door and looked at the time. 8:45. I should probably get to bed. If they knock again I'll just ignore it. But what about Mum? I'll just explain to her. But how will I do that without telling her I'm bullied and have no friends - apart from Julia. I'll think of something I guess.
"Hey Mum?" I asked as she walked out of the twins' room.
"Yeah, hun?" She replied looking up at me.
"If the doorbell rings, don't answer the door," I said, "its some idiot kids playing stupid games."
Me and Mum both rolled our eyes then laughed because we rolled our eyes at the same time. Technically I didn't lie to her. In fact, I didn't lie at all. Mum agreed not to open the door. I went to bed and dreaded waking up.
