The Lost One

Chapter Seven.

"Yes I was mad at Ethan." I growled at Emily threw the phone.

"Gosh girl calm yo panties what crawled up your butt and died?" She asked sarcastically.

"That made no sense but somehow I understand." I stated proud of my knowledge.

"What is that?" Emily asked.

"I don't know....." I slurred as I walked towards the window.

"Ethan." I whispered to myself but I think Emily heard. "Sorry Em, got to go. Talk to you later." I stated closing my phone. "But wait Julia-" she started but the phone was closed.

I looked down at Ethan whose eyes were sparkling. "Juliet , oh Juliet." He said sarcastically.

"Oh brother." I chuckled as I opened the window wide enough for my body to sit on the ledge and talk to him. My feet dangled over his head.

"So, are you going to tell me why you're here?" I asked while my feet went back and forth.

"Does there have to be a reason?" He replied with a smirk.

"Yes actually there does." I stated properly.

"Jump down." He asked; no wait he DIDNT ask he just ordered me.

"Excuse me?" I asked my eyes widening in shock. "No way am I jumping down THERE."

He rolled his eyes. "I'll catch you, duh." He said with a well, a DUH tone.

"How can I trust you. We just met like a few days ago." I stated in a rude way. Sure I know I'm being rude but can you blame me? It's not like in the movies where I feel like I can trust him.

"Just do it princess." He said staring at his nails getting bored.

"Fine." I replied. I know a shocker, but I'm not a woman of contemplation. SOMETIMES.... Sometimes you have to take risks and I'm fully aware. So, I jumped.

For a second I felt butterflies as my hair went up and the cool breeze hitting my skin. I squeezed my eyes shut , but I let my body just fall. Then It fell into his arms his warm scent of cologne and body gel washing over me.

"You can open your eyes. You aren't dead." He stated and I could seriously hear the smirk in his voice.

"Wow two faced much?" I replied.

"What are you talking about?" He asked his eyes full of accusation.

"When I met you , you were sweet and caring and a gentleman. Now you're rude and sarcastic." I stated as he set me down. A blush creepy on my face for being so harsh. But hey, you have to say what you have to say.

"I'm just stating the truth." He said winking at me deepening my blush.

"Why did you bring me down here?" I asked him as I stared at the ground trying not to make eye contact.

He lifted my chin so he could look into my mud brown eyes. "Does there have to be a reason?" He asked again like it was his motto now.

We both stared into each other's eyes his beautiful ocean blue eyes we bother leaned in and it was like there was almost no space between us as I started to try and kiss him when-

"AHHHHHH." I screamed falling on the ground rolling my self into a ball and silently sobbing.

The sounds of a gunshot.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA." Someone laughed as I heard a car screech and leave.

Ethan started cursing. "Julia it's okay." He said to me softly picking me up bridal style. I let him and wrapped my arms around his neck while sobbing into his chest. Sure I had my pajamas on with my winter boots and my hair in a VERY messy bun . I probably looked TERRIBLE. But I didn't care.

I guess I have another Knight in shining armor.
