Into The New World

Day 5 - [Part Two]

After what happened at the mall with Yibo making it to Haoxuan and Pei Xin safely, the three of them are now looking for a house that isn't damaged. After a few encounters with bloody zombies they finally stopped in a very quite neighborhood. It was surprisingly free of zombies. There wasn't any walking around alone or in groups. Safe to say they didn't get in that neighborhood without going through a fucking horde waiting just outside the mall they were in. Poor Pei Xin was frightened as he fought with all his might. Haoxuan stood beside him always keeping a sharp eye on him. It seems that he had developed a soft spot for the younger.

"Yibo we should be safe in this neighborhood since it's completely zombie free ---" Haoxuan was cut off by a loud scream coming from one of the houses. And since it was very quiet they quickly heard the loud scream even thought it's still a few blocks away. The three gave each other looks before following the direction of the scream. On their way they could already hear the groans and moans of the undead. And the moans aren't from a small group of zombies but a fucking horde.

One of the houses was being surrounded by the horde as they tried to break inside. That's when they heard the scream coming from inside the house. A sound of glass being broken was heard before more screams were heard along with gunshot coming from Yibo. Haoxuan cursed as a few zombies noticed them, with quick movements he immediately killed them. Pei Xin stood close to Yibo as they began to walk towards the house.

The front door was blocked by more zombies. Shot after shot Yibo took down all the zombies. Haoxuan then opened the door only to be met by a group of zombies already inside the house. With Pei Xin standing behind Haoxuan and Yibo, the three made their way inside. Killing the zombies as they followed the others which was making their way to the second floor.

"Kid stick with with me. Don't wander off. Yibo will go ahead and check the second floor while the two of us will kill this zombies." Pei Xin shakily nodded his head. He was still shaken up by how many zombies they were facing. Yibo gave Haoxuan a nod before proceeding to go upstairs. Only a few zombies managed to get to the second floor so Yibo didn't have any trouble with killing them.

"Kid, behind you!"

Haoxuan yelled as he saw a zombie nearly biting Pei Xin from behind. Pei Xin immediately doved to the floor as the machete Haoxuan found earlier flew and hit the zombie right in between it's eyes. He quickly pulled Pei Xin up before attacking a few more zombies. But they just keep coming from the back door which is wide open. With them being outnumbered, Haoxuan decided to retreat running upstairs with Pei Xin in tow. They found Yibo trying to open one of the doors.

With Haoxuan's help they forcefully opened the door and went in. A loud scream was then heard as they closed the door. A boy huddled at one side of the room was yelling so loud which was the reason why an entire horde was outside right now. Well what used to be a horde since they killed mostly the half of it but if the boy kept on yelling a new group will come and they'll be trapped.

Pei Xin quickly covered the boys mouth but he kept struggling before letting out a loud scream before passing out. Haoxuan and Yibo immediately barricaded the door with their bodies as Pei Xin took care of the unconscious boy. A few minutes later the moans and groans grew louder along with the sound of an engine. They heard loud thuds coming from downstairs as the groans and moans slowly decrease. They heard a few muffled voices before footsteps were heard.

A few more thuds were heard as Haoxuan and Yibo huddled close to Pei Xin and the unconscious boy. They stood away from the door with weapons loaded and ready for an attack. The clawing at the door stopped as the doorknob jiggled before being opened by a man. Yibo froze as he watch the guy who stood still while looking at them. The guy look so familiar but he couldn't remember where he saw him. Soon another guy or boy came and stood beside the older.
