One day, Percy's son needed a pen for school. He found a ball pen in Percy's pocket while Percy was bathing. His bus had arrived so he took the pen without telling his father. In school when he opened the pen to write, it immediately turned into a sword. It took Chiron, and whole of the Hecate cabin to make everyone believe that it was a pen and not a sword or a gun.
