The Anti-Mage Sin of Pride

VI : First Dungeon Part 2

————Near Diamond/Clover Boarder————

"Uh, that was easy" said Luck. He had just saved Klaus's life from this crystal clone. Klaus was too distracted to notice the threat since he was trying to figure out how someone with no magic power could do that.

'He has no magic power. How does he possess that ability? Is it pure strength?' He thought. Looking closer to the Black Bull Boy he noticed a white and gold grimoire strapped to his left hip. 'So he does have two!'

Turning to his left Klaus finally noticed the person who just saved him. 'He must be the third member. If memory serves me correctly, he is Luck Voltia. The Cheery Beserker. He beat his opponent in the Entrance Exam and never stopped smiling'.

"It seems this guy might be stronger than my last opponent. I hope I get a chance to fight him!" Luck stated. He really wanted to fight him too.

Noelle looked over behind the two squad leaders and saw her cousin inside a cage. "Mimosa" said Noelle as she rushed over to where Mimosa was laying down still in the flower cage healing, "What happened to you?"she asked looking concerned.

"I got a little reckless and got myself hurt" she said with a small smile, "I guess somethings never change".

Noelles look then turned as her grimoire opened. Magic poured off of her. "Well you don't have to worry, I'll protect you now" she said pointing her wand forward. "Water Creation Magic: Sea Dragon's Nest" she cast. A dome of water surrounded the two.

"Thank you Noelle," said Mimosa. 'She really is learning to control her magic better' Mimosa sadly lowered her head. She was so rude earlier and now her cousin was saving her.

"Yuno, what were you thinking back there? You almost died," said Asta looking annoyed at his rival.

"No, I had a perfect plan ready to go" said Yuno calmly making Asta look annoyed.

"No he had you. You were totally beat, leave it to you to stay calm in this kind of situation," he said. "I won't let you die until I become the Wizard King," Asta laughed.

The diamond kingdom mage watched them talk amongst themselves. Suddenly he felt an image go through his head showing a girl smiling. He put his hand on his head looking confused. 'What was that' he thought.

"The battlefield is only a place for those who are strong enough to fight, my duty is to destroy the weak" said the mage. Multiple crystal clones appeared from the ground.

"To destroy the weak huh, just try it" said Asta rushing forward dodging the other clones and went to hit the original. He ended up cutting down a clone and then he looked up to see the diamond mage with another big crystal sword.

The mage sent his arm forward making the crystal sword move forward. But Asta jumped into the air destroying the sword. Running up the length of the blade he cut into the diamond kingdom mage. His armor shattered. The force of the impact sent him flying into the water behind him.

"AwI was looking forward to fighting him, I guess these will have to do" said Luck as he started destroying multiple crystal clones with both his lightning armored arms and legs.

Yuno decided to help the Black Bull while using wind slashes. Looking over to Asta he realized he would need to up his training. While the Anti-Magic could make Asta reflect and destroy any mana infused spells, his movement was all him. Glancing to is adoptive brother's left hip. His book was still there. Which meant the sun was still up. Asta did not even need to rely on his magic. 'I would've liked to see that magic. I need to know what I must surpass to become the Wizard King,' he thought but he was still proud of all the hard work he had put in. Yuno decided to up his training dramatically.
