chapter 11: a sacrifice

as i walked up to the emperor's castle i was more scared than i've ever been. i couldn't show it though. ever since i was a kid my parents told me "you can't show fear" and so i never did. i can't be weak. i wish i could sometimes. wish i could cry. wish i could show emotions. wish i could talk to anyone,but i cant and thats just how it is i guess.

i walk up and i see a guard. he lead me to the emperor's chamber and stood outside. i entered and saw the emperor in his throne. "hello,boscha" he said lingering on each word. "hello" i said trying my best not to be intimidated."you said you have a job for me" i said. "yes, perhaps i do but first you must be welcome to our coven" the way he said this did not sound kind at all. 

the warden came in with the covens glove. "are you ready to join my coven" he said. "after you do you have to follow my command." he said and his eyes started to glow brighter. "i don't have a choice do i" i asked. " no unless you want me to hurt the one you love most" he said threateningly. "i love no one" i replied. "oh really, i suppose the plant coven girl means nothing to you?". i backed up but tried to stay brave " fine" i said. "do what you want". "very well" he said. " welcome to the emporers coven" he said.

as i got marked i kneeled against my will. "stop luz from coming back... for good". "yes emperor belos" i replied getting up. "she wont be getting in our way any longer"
