Christine's POV

I woke up to start another day of my boring life. I got out of bed and changed from my pj's to a plain blouse and black pants. Looking into the mirror, I styled my thick curly hair out of my face and into a dutch braid. Leaving my apartment, I went to my dark blue jeep. While driving to my university, the sky a dark gray seemed to call to me. As I parked my car and got out, I saw my friends and ran to catch up with them. Raoul and Nadir were both wearing puffy pants... again. Rolling my eyes as I pointed at their pants, "Why can't you guys wear jeans like normal people?" They looked at each other with knowing looks, and said in unison, "Puffy pants are life".

My friends and I walked into the university in silence. The three of them walked to the first period. They shared that class. That's actually how they met her (they were friends before). We walked into the class, as usual. The lesson started. I tried not to zone out as I chewed on the end of the eraser off the pencil. Twenty minutes into the lesson, the door creaked open and a tall figure strutted across the room and walked to the back of the class. "Mr. Erik Destler!" the teacher said, making the figure pause. "Yes?" came a voice from the figure. He was hair flipping and winking at the class. He flashed a movie-star worthy smile, causing temporary blindness. His multicolored eyes stared holes into everybody's heads. I heard a few girls sigh dreamily. As I looked around the class, all eyes were on this Erik.

"Can you come back up here and tell the class a little about yourself?" He glamorously pranced to the front of the room. "I came from France to San Francisco." The professor sighed with slight disgust and told him to go back to his seat. As he passed my table, we meet each other's eyes. He flirtatiously wiggled his eyebrows at me. I blushed and looked away, not before I saw a slight smirk across his features. I heard Raoul mutter something to Nadir under his breath. I was too concentrated on what just happened to care or notice.

A few hours later at lunch

"Is this seat taken?" a booming voice cried out, tearing me from my daydream about the new kid frolicking across the beach shirtless. I look up startled to see Erik himself. Seeing my surprised look, he said, "It's fine I'll sit somewhere else".  I grasped his muscular pinkie finger. "No don't go," I said frantically. Raoul and Nadir stopped their conversation to look at me. Nadir shot me a smirk, while Raoul rolled his eyes and sighed in a disapproving manner. Erik sat down across from me and slowly spread his napkin across his lap. He began to eat his suspicious-looking sausage. His eyes never left me the entire time. He was very friendly and interesting. I looked around the room. Everyone had their eyes on me. I even saw the most popular girls glaring at me with pure jealousy that got more aggressive when he blew a kiss at me. "Who wants to go to froyo?" Nadir asked. "Yes!" We exclaimed. "FROYOOOOOO!" Erik screamed, climbing on top of the table.
