Gavin's P.O.V

"You're wrong." He growled.

"Am I?" I questioned. He seemed taken back for a second before responding in a silky way.

"How do you know you're right?"

I thought about it for a second.

"I don't. But I'm hoping I'm right."

Why was I hoping though? I didn't even know him, much less care about him. But for some reason I did. The feeling was strong, and I couldn't shake it. I felt as if I had to prove that he was more than what they thought about him. As if reading my thoughts he relpied,

"Why? You don't know me."

"I can."  Something made me say this and I slightly regret it. He scoffs lightly.

"You don't want to, Gavin." I'm shocked for a brief moment.

"I never told you my name."

He smiles at this in a teasing way.

"You didn't need to, just as I didn't need to tell you mine, did I?" He scans me, smirking one last time then walking away. That chill goes up my spine again as he leaves. I shrink against the wall, sliding down it.

'What just happened?'

My eyes narrow as I drown myself in thought. I had a whole, non-violent, extremely weird conversation with the one person I shouldn't have. I look at my watch, and realize I have 5 minutes before class ends and lunch starts. I gather myself off the floor and walk to my classroom. More like wander aimlessly for 3 minutes before finally finding it, but you know. I enter the classroom and meet a dozen eyes staring at me.

'That's normal.' I think to myself before walking over to my desk. The air felt crowded, as if we were all battling for some of it. A weird feeling. I sat at my desk wondering where it came from. No one else seemed to be bothered by it, or even notice it. Did they feel it? Or is it just me? I decide to shake it off. Along with the feeling of eyes burning into my back. I couldn't shake it no matter how hard I tried. Out of instinct, I turn around and look around the room. Girls are chatting away to each other, and boys hands in their pants. Normal. But why was no one else affected by these feelings? Why is it just me? I had no time to wonder as the bell rang and everyone picked up their belongings, and headed out. I sat there for a second before hesitantly gathering my stuff, and leaving behind the crowd.

"Mr.Dwight?" My teacher said. I stopped at her desk and looked down at her.

"Yes?"

"Everything alright? You were gone for quite awhile."

Crap.

"Everything's fine Ms, just had trouble finding the bathroom." I smiled as truly as possible. She studied my face for a moment.

"Alright then. Enjoy your break." I nod and walk out the door with hurried steps.

I turn around the corner and kneel down, as I take out my map and look for the lunch room. I know Milo showed me, but a lot of other things were going on in my mind. A lot.

Finally finding the right route on the map, I put my map back, stand up, and begin my journey.

My journey that takes 2 minutes before I reach the room. I swing open the large doors, and walk inside. I dip my head to avoid the hundreds of eyes starring at me. I grab a plate, thank the lunch lady, and walk to where Milo's sitting at the far end of the table in the back. A few people sit next to him, in front of him, and stand next to him, chatting away. They end up walking away to other tables before I reach him.

"Who are they?" I question, sitting across from him. He looks at me and smiles.

"You're not the only one I know, Gav. You sorta joined high school in the middle. I know most people here.

"Kewl." I say dragging it out. I poke at my food with the plastic fork I grabbed, waiting for a conversation starter to pop in my head.

"Ish thi forth timth yo bee to schoo?" Milo says with a mouthful of food. I smile a little and raise an eyebrow at him. He rolls his eyes playfully, and nods his head while he chews his food quickly and swallows.

"Is this the first time you've been to school?" He asks more clearly this time. I nod.

"I mean, I was home-schooled, but yeah this is the first time I've been to a real school."

He nods and continues shoveling food into his mouth. I chuckle lightly and he looks up at me.

"Schwat?" He asks. I hold in my laughter and bite my bottom lip, sucking it in. He sees my amusement and gives me a goofy smile. All heads turn to the door as a random kid walks in. Everyone does this in a rhythm as the loud doors open, and an embarrassed kid enters. 3 times this repeats. Then a forth. The loud doors open, and someone walks in, but everyone keeps their head where it is, and their voices lower. I give Milo a confused look, but he just shrugs. I look up to see who walked in, and immediately a shiver goes up my spine, and my legs start quivering.

Xavior walks in, along with Aaron.

I start gathering my stuff quickly, and stand up.

"I-I gotta g-go." I say to Milo. He looks up at the doors and starts shaking his head, telling me to sit down. I ignore him, (very rude of me, I'll apologize later) and start scurrying across the glossy floor draped with pieces of food.  I leave out the back door, and someone grabs my wrist before I turn the corner. I tense and look behind me. Xavior's hand reaches out, gripping my wrist. The spot starts turning red from his grip, along with my face. He turns me around and makes me face him. His eyes are narrowed at me. I quiver a little, and shift in my spot as he stares me down. He growls a few words at me that make me tense more.

"Don't ever walk away from me."
