A/N: Before anything else, I really sorry that I'm only writing now. I guess the past few years of stress and overworking has finally taken its toll on me. I was recently diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and I end up sleeping way too early than my supposed bed time, because I get tired real quick. Getting to the point, I think I've become like a Koala bear who only wakes up to eat (HAHA!). Nonetheless, despite that, I still like writing, so here I am writing another story.

Worry not, I also plan to slowly update my other works. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy this one!

Cast (Face Claims):

Princess Eliora - Original Female Character

Duke Cyril Aureus - Charlie Hunnam

ArchDuke Cynbel Aureus- Tom Hardy

Crown Prince - I have not decided yet, your suggestion is appreciated.

PROLOGUE

I found the story of Princess Eliora, who only appeared in less than half of the Adult Fantasy novel I was reading, to be one of the most tragic ones.

Beautiful, Kind, and Gifted though she is, the gift of 'true sight' was useless due to her naivety and ignorance, and it was the one that had to ruin her and lead her to her demise.

Born as the sole heiress, and first in line to the King of Ansgar, she was doted upon by her grandfather and the people around her. Protected from the harsh realities of the world, this made her see everything with rose-coloured glasses.

During the invasion of Ansgar, countless of lives were lost including the King's. She was also captured by the Duke Cyril and was 'taken' to the crown prince where she was treated as a distinguished guest.

Out of the pretence of friendship, she was convinced by the crown prince to become his ally, knowing that her power of 'True Sight' will be very useful to him. Moreover,  she was given false promises that when he finally ascends the throne, she will be his queen and that Ansgar will be returned to her. Unfortunately, that didn't happen...

During the fight for the throne, the crown prince used her as a pawn. Just as he was about to lose his grasp to the throne, the Archduke Cynbel, a candidate for the throne and the elder brother of Duke Cyril, demanded something as an exchange for aggravating the house of Aureus. The crown prince 'offer' his most beautiful possession to the house of Aureus: Princess Eliora. In the end, she was given and sent to the Ducal house like a toy.

But Cynbel was not interested in Eliora, or even the power that she held. To him it was useless, due to her being naive. What good was the gift of 'discernment' and true sight when one was a fool? And knowing that she was nothing but a pawn of the crown prince, he gave her to his brother, Cyril.

Well, you can guess what happened... because Eliora's reputation had already been tainted in court due to her association with the crown prince and the stories that were spread about their relationship when he 'dropped' her, she was labelled a 'loose' woman, and a courtesan, despite being a virgin.

No one trusted her and no one saw her anything beyond a pawn and naive princess from a fallen kingdom. Despite that, the house of Aureus treated her properly when she was given to them. Cyril was enamoured with her beauty from the beginning when he had captured her. Eliora, despite being hurt from what the crown prince did, and was unwilling, she was resigned to her fate. She became Cyril's 'lover'. And by lover, means that she is to be a slave to his lust... However, Cyril was not someone who would force himself upon a woman. Therefore, he had taken his time to seduce her until she completely became his.

Despite her being Cyril's mistress, Eliora was still treated well. However, many pages of sex scenes later between Cyril and her, the story progresses into a darker tone. Because of a court conspiracy, and political war, Eliora was accused of being a spy. As she was a foreign princess from a conquered land, she was accused of destroying the royal family, and a cause of infighting among the princes. It was too late when they found out that the perpetrator of the lie was the crown prince. Cynbel, the head of Ducal house of Aureus, did his best to prove the princess' innocence but couldn't do much to defend her, else they will be accused of treason to the throne.

As punishment... Eliora was executed in the most brutal way. Her eyes, which has the power of 'true sight' were ripped out of her head, and she was left to bleed in pain until she died. A tragic ending for an innocent woman.

I closed the book and returned it back into the shelf. It was early in the afternoon, and I felt the weight in my heart after re-reading the novel. Which is why I decided to take a short nap to get it out of my head. Much to my dismay, when I woke up. I was somewhere else.

A/N: Hope you enjoyed that one, a new odd heroine is to come. In the beginning, I was planning on making it into a webtoon. But my energy level in my body is just isn't there. But who knows? ! most probably one day I will!
