Dad: Clementine, I'm so proud of you for completing your very first year of school in this town.

Mom: C'mon, Clem, get up.

Mitch: Well, well, well, look what we have here.

Clementine: Oh, stop it. Leave him alone.

Mitch: I can do what I want.

Louis: It's okay, Clem, I got this.

Marlon: I don't think this is a good idea to keep fighting.

Minerva: I love you, Violet.

Violet: I love you, too, Minnie.

Marlon: We are moving up now.

6 years later

So time went by in a jiff. I am now in grade 10, sophomore year in high school, and a lot that's happened would be an understatement.

Mitch has lied off on the bullying a bit in recent years, but I'm not holding my breath he won't strike again. Marlon and Brody started dating last year, and speaking of dating, Violet and Minnie also started being a couple. They started dating a few weeks ago. There is a "V+M" carved on one of the bleachers in the gym.

I'm still single yet, however, I may have developed feelings for Louis. I've known him for so long, and I absolutely adore him. In fact, he invited me to hangout with him after school, so I'll see how that goes. Not gonna lie, I am kind of nervous.

The school day went by as expected; boring and not worth it. I saw Louis, though. I try to hide my embarrassment. I blush every time I see him or hear the mention of his name.

"You ready to head out?" He approaches me at my locker.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I reply.

I took a bus here this morning. I have my licence and a car, but it wouldn't make sense to drive here today since I will be with Louis. He said he could drive me home, so it all worked out in the end.

We get in his car. It's a nice little car, actually. A Cadillac. A red one. I put my backpack in the back seat. I put my seatbelt on. He starts up his car.

"Any destination in particular?" He asks me.

"Mhm, maybe a store? I could use some new clothes," I suggest.

"Sounds like a plan. Not a problem," Louis pulls out of the parking lot of the school.

"Any music choice?" He wants to know more about my intrests.

"Gen X," I let him know.

He tunes his car radio to the Gen X radio station. The song "Hate" by Plain White T's starts playing.

"I don't hate you, not by a long shot. This is just a good song," Louis implies.

"I know," I smile.

He is right, indeed. This is a good song. He drives us to a small local shop. It's pretty quiet in the parking lot, but that's fine. I wouldn't want it any other way.

"After you," Louis kindly holds the door open for me.

"Aww, thank you," I demonstrate my manners back to him.

It is even more quiet in this store, and that's all the better. Louis goes to a shelf full of video games. I go over to the clothes section. I look at the clothes. It takes me awhile to find an outfit I like.

Eventually, I find an adorable shirt and shorts. Louis finished his shopping. He waits for me to get done out of the fitting room.

"How do I look?" I show him the new clothes I'm wearing.

"You look stunning," he gives me a thumbs up.

"Well, thank you," I use my manners once again.

"I got something for you, too. I think it may look nice on you," I add.

"You did?" He seems surprised.

"Of course I did," I give him what I picked out for him.

"I'll try it on," he heads for one of the rooms.

I go in one of them as well to put my other clothes back on. I meet him outside the fitting room. Oh my... Louis looks absolutely handsome. Especially with that brown coat on. It has fur along the back neck part.

"You're right. Looks good on me. Y'know what? I'm wearing it out," Louis states, confidently.

Louis pays for our items, then we leave. I buckle up. Louis starts the car.

"If you don't mind, we could go to my place for a bit? My parents are at their jobs at the moment, so they cannot say anything about you being there if they do not know," Louis gives the idea.

"Sure, why not. As long as I'm back before 7:00, though," I remind him.

"Trust me, you will be," he reassures.

He drives us to his house. This will be the first time I will be in his house. I am immediately blown away by the size of this place.  It's a mansion.

"Wow. Big place you got here," I'm amazed.

"My parents are super rich. We invest in stocks everyday and with them working, you can see the result," he mentions.

"Amazing. My parents are a doctor and an engineer, but even we don't even own anything this big. Our house pales in comparison to this beauty," I chuckle.

He holds the door open for me again. This place is even bigger on the inside. There's a pool table, a pool outside in the backyard, five stairs, two living rooms, six big flat screen televisions, and I would imagine a lot of bathrooms.

He brings me to a huge room with another pool table. More importantly, a big grand piano. He sits at it. Louis begins to play "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven.

"Oh, I love that song," I am intrigued by the music he's playing.

This has been a lovely day. Finally, for once... a day of peace. No bullying, no hatred, none of that. Let's hope this continues.
