The black book fell on Ben's table with a loud thud. He looked up at Ella. She was red in the face, and looked like she was about to murder him in front of at least thirty bystanders. She was just that pissed.

"Why?" She asked simply.

"You could have chosen any other book."

Ben smiled, and put the book in his bag.

"Did you enjoy it," he said, barely containing the laughter in his voice.

"VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE."

"You know my own amusement aside. I actually wanted you to read this because you have so much in common with the main character," Ben said while calmly taking out his books for the lecture.

Ella sat down next to him.

"You better take that back."

Ben remained silent, but couldn't contain a huge grin.

"Now."

"Your fathers are both police officers, your names are nearly identical, you're both kind of shy, and you're also very pale."

Ella hit the table with her fist.

"Being pale is hardly a unique trait. And I'M NOT SHY. I'm reserved."

Ben could no longer contain his laughter.

"As if I would ever run around some vampire all day. Bella has no goals whatsoever except for becoming Edward's wife. I have bigger and better things to do!"

Ben smiled at her, real admiration in his eyes.

"That's right. You're going to be a psychologist."

"In spite of my father's efforts to cut my income," Ella said sharply. She opened her book, determent to only ever read useful books from now on.
