As we drove into our new town,I stared out the window curiously looking at what was happening outside of me. Glarrington, I could already tell it was a total different town than Sandersdale. Not just in size. I mean it was much bigger than Sandersdale but it was just different. Different as in hard to explain different. It was just a whole new place to me.
I liked it so far but didn't know what to except when we got to our brand new house. I was excited and scared all at the same time if you get what I mean. We drove past what is going to be my brand new school. And wow. Wow it was huge. As I grew up at a country school this was like a whole new life for me. Anyone that grew up in a normal atmosphere wouldn't find this as amazing as I do. It was beautiful and colourful filled with lovely sceneries. I finally felt like I was starting my life again. I finally felt like everything was coming together and I felt like whatever happened I was going to have my dream come true. To be a normal kid in a normal world just like everyone else
We drove into our driveway. Our house was huge. I mean I had seen pictures and all but it didn't give you the whole effect of the house. It was actually quite a lot different to the pictures I had seen. It was beautiful and it was the house I had always dreamed of. I took one small step inside. Wow. It was truly something. I ran straight through taking just a small glimpse of each room.
I got to what looked like the biggest flight of stairs I had ever seen. I slowly started making my way to the second floor which was where my bedroom was. I must have past a least eight rooms already I thought to myself. I made my way down the hallway and came to my brand new room. I dived onto the bed and took a look around. It was an awesome room. Nothing like I had ever had before.
So many things came to mind as to what I could do to spice it up just a little bit more. It really felt like I was dreaming. How could my life go from absolute crap to amazing? It felt like I had found my dream and finally I was just like a normal girl in a normal world.
"Morning sweetie" I heard mum call from the kitchen. "Morning" I replied with a groan. Today was my first day at my brand new school. You never know what your going to be looked at as but all I ever do is hope. Hope to start a normal life like everyone else. I mean I put up with bullying for six years and I think that I deserve a chance to get out of this situation and have a new fresh start. "Do you want some breakfast honey" Mum asked. "Yes please, Just some toast will do, Thanks mum" I answered.
I slipped into my uniform and stared at my reflection. Not only did I feel different but I also looked different. It felt like a whole new me. Makeup or no makeup. I wonder what this school was like. I mean you wouldn't want to be the only one wearing makeup and be named well you know what I mean. But you didn't want to be the only one without makeup either did you. Argh, I couldn't be stuffed so I forgot completely about it. I quickly checked myself out one last time before making my way down to the kitchen for breakfast.
As usual as soon as I got down there my toast was sitting on the bench all ready to be eaten. "Thanks mum" I called before taking a bite into the crunchy buttery toast. I quickly ate up both pieces and shoved everything into my very full old style bag which wasn't a very good look. Oh well I thought its my first day and I need all this stuff so who cares what anyone thinks of me.
I had got used to being judged by people for everything I wore and everything I did. I learnt to get over it and whatever I do is what makes me so if someone doesn't like me because of what I do or wear than that's their problem. I learnt that I don't have to be someone I don't want to be. I can be who I want to be and no one will change that about me.
I picked up everything I needed for the day and slipped on my shoes. "Bye Mum" I called from the entrance way. "Bye honey, have a good first day at school" she replied. "Will do, see you later" I replied as I stepped out of the door and into the new atmosphere.
