Season 2: Chapter 01

"I'm going to win" / "I gotta win"

Tzuyu and Jungkook turned their head to each other after saying the same statement. Tzuyu looked at him in a serious manner so did Jungkook with a smirk on his fair, lightly red face. They turned ahead to the wide, sloppy, long path that is inclined; leading to the bottom of the mountain. Almost everything, aside from the tress, is white and slightly foggy because of the snow covering the mountain slides.

Wearing a thick jacket, googles is rested on the forehead Jungkook positioned his skis smiling. A smile that is rather out of excitement "Ready Tzuyu-ah?"

"Yes" said Tzuyu also smiling in the same level excitement and an inch of nervousness because of the long path they will slide on. From their standing point, other skater appears very tiny as if they were little grasshoppers sliding on the thick snow. It was also as if the fog is hiding the end point from their eyes reach to entice them more. "You can still back-out" said Tzuyu

"What?" said Jungkook raising his voice a little for Tzuyu's hearing "I didn't hear it, sorry love"

Tzuyu prepared her throat and said in a voice louder than before "I said you can back out!"

"Ahhh" Jungkook nodded, he turned to her "No I won't, but you know we can just call off the race"

"No" replied Tzuyu "Let's go"

"Yeah, let's get it" said Jungkook with a smile even bigger than before "Wait! Don't forget our agreement Tzuyu"

"Yes, I remember" replied she pressing the last word. Tzuyu head turned in front, her eyes was like skiing already as it moves left and right to trace the path she will take later.

"Okay, let's get it!" said Jungkook in a loud voice with flashing excitement

Jungkook and Tzuyu wore their goggles, they bended a little and buried their ski poles on the snow. At the count of three, they vanished on the starting point. Like a ball thrown in full-force upwards, free-falling they shoot down to the path. The cold breeze of air hitting their faces, it grew pinker and pinker as the stride the slope. Tzuyu uses her ski poles in both hands pretty faster than Jungkook, accelerating her speed, she passed by him. Jungkook, mildly taken back uses ski faster. After a few moments, they were back neck to neck again. Jungkook turned to Tzuyu, who has a serious expression on the face. He smiled, grinned and skis sidewards.

Tzuyu's finish line- centered eyes blinked; her body leaned back in mild surprise when Jungkook almost bumped into her. His laugh reach her ears "Ya, what? You're cheating" she complained in her small voice

"Stop me if you can" he playfully said, zoning in again

"Ah this is not how to play"

Jungkook's board slightly grazed Tzuyu's board, decreasing its speed. A smile flickered on his face as he passed by her, taking over the lead right in front of her; which is a bad idea because Tzuyu grabbed him by the jacket and both of them fall, on the pillow-soft snow bottom first. Their laughter and giggles echoed on the spot as they quickly try to get up. However, it was a struggle because of the skis on the bottom of their shoes that feels like heavy water flippers when on land so they started throwing snow to each other to prevent on from standing before the other.

Jungkook stood to his feet. His jacket has some small shinning crystals because of the snow. He walked but tripped as if there is an invisible stone. Tzuyu laughed, took the chance and got up but Jungkook held her forearm while smiling widely; if he could move his feet freely he would cling into her like a koala like they are kids desperately competing for a box of candy.
