Sure, it was a little chilly outside but students were still going in and out of the campus' gates.
Hyunjin had just finished his last lecture of the day and was heading towards the gates. All he wanted to do was to throw his bag on the floor and just lay in bed.
As he was about to step out of the campus' grounds, someone pulled his arm back and he was met with 2 of his older seniors.
"Hyunjin, can we talk for a moment?"
"What do you want from me hyung?"
Clearly, Hyunjin was annoyed, but only a smirk was plastered on his hyungs' face.
"You owe us some money, remember?"
"Yes, but I said I would pay you guys tomorrow."
"Well turns out we need it now. Just give us what you have right now."
"Fine, but I only have 10 000 won."
Hyunjin didn't want to stay long so he just gave them his money. The older males were satisfied, but they weren't done. The smirk on their faces grew wider.
"Oh and why don't you introduce us to your noona? She's hot."
"Yea, I mean, both of us are free on the weekends. What club does she often go to?"
They started laughing, and this clearly threw Hyunjin off.
"Oh fuck off. She isn't into shits like you two."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?!"
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
A familiar voice was heard. It belonged to someone who was close to Hyunjin, but he had only been seeing this person's face a few years ago.
The two male students ran away, leaving Hyunjin laying on the floor.
Hyunjin had bruises all over his face and his lips had a small cut. He tried getting up but he felt a sharp pain in his back.
"Y-Yeonbin hyung..."
Yeonbin helped the poor boy up to a sitting position. He observed him to see if there were anything serious. Luckily, there wasn't anything severe, just some cuts and bruises.
"Jieun asked me to help drive and pick you up. You're lucky that I found you."
"Noona?"
"Yup. She's in the car waiting. She's gonna flip when she sees you like this."
The two let out a small chuckle as Yeonbin tries getting Hyunjin back on his feet.
"Can you walk kid?"
Hyunjin gave Yeonbin a nod and continued to walk with him to his car.
Right when they saw Yeonbin's car, Jieun was quick to run out of the vehicle to the horror she was seeing."Hyunjin, what happened to your handsome face?! Yeoniee what is this?!"
"It looked like 2 of his seniors were beating him up."
"Noona... I'm fine."
Jieun could only sigh at her hoobae. She did signed up for this, ever since she decided to take Hyunjin under her wing.
The three of them got into the car, all buckled up since Yeonbin refused to start the engine if they didn't. He then drove out of their parking spot into the city.
Cherry blossoms were blooming all over Seoul. The streets were still crowded since the Spring Flower Festival had just started a few days ago, that was what Hyunjin had notice.
It did hit him that they weren't heading home, instead to a cafe they were very familiar with. It was just a small cafe in Sangsu-dong, it wasn't at all famous, in fact, a majority of the cafes in the area over shadowed the place.
There it was, the cafe's sign only written on a wooden plaque, surrounded by plants.
Yeonbin parked right in front of the cafe. When they got out of the car, they were immediately hit with the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
They didn't sit that far from the window. The cafe wasn't crowded as always, but there were some customers.
Yeonbin went to order their drinks, leaving Jieun and Hyunjin sitting face to face.
"I'll probably won't be home on Friday, can you take care of the house for me?"
"Sure, but why?"
"Just work. I got a new case involving some 'rebels'. It's too dangerous for you, so please stay home."
"I'm not weak, I can take them on."
"Says the person who just got beaten up by his seniors. No."
Yeonbin approached them with a little buzzer in his hand. His seat was next to Jieun, he thought it was easier to talk to Hyunjin this way, since he hasn't seen him in a while.
"Now let's catch up on things here Hyunjinie."
"Sure hyung, but why didn't you ask me in the car?
"You just got beaten up by your seniors that's why."
"Fair point."
"I have to say that you've gotten taller though."
"He hasn't gotten taller, you gotten shorter."
Laughter then filled the cafe. Hyunjin looked at the two adults in front of him in amusement as they started a little argument on height, he thought to himself of how a great couple they could be.
Although, Jieun and Yeonbin were nothing more than best friends. It had always been that way.
"Y-you're a traitor!"
