Aiden POV:
"Cayden. Sounds familiar right dad?" He stops reading to look at me. I raise a brow. "Kind of."
"Perhaps do you know anyone named Cayden. I don't know his surname."
"Lots of kids are named Cayden in the world Ceph, I can't guarantee you that I actually know the guy you're talking about."
I let out a short hum and went out of his study room.
I went out of the house and went to the nearby park. I wore my headphones and started to stroll around.
I sat down the bench drinking water, After a few seconds I see a dog in front of me with his paws on my shoes.
A baby golden retriever. Cute. Yeah, I do have a soft spot for animals. I pat his head and started to rub his tummy.
"MAX! WHERE ARE YOU?" The golden retriever barks. "MAX?! OMG I THOUGHT I LOST YOU"
"Darcy--?"
"Aiden?"
"OMG HI!!!" She says. Wow, she looks different without make up and just in... pajamas?
"Hey?" I wave my hand. She smiles...genuinely that doesn't look plastic at all. Sarcastic? Nah I'm saying the truth.
"Hey, thanks for staying with Max. Um...lunch? My treat." I raise my brows and look at her from head to toe. I mean I thought she has that "mean girl fashion vibe" but she just walks around in pajamas?
"Oh uh...don't mind my outfit." Said Darcy. I chuckled. "You look like you're about to sleep you know?"
"Of course I look like I'm about to sleep, these are PJ's. Let me just change and bring back Max in our house. WAIT HERE!!!" And she runs. She just runs to her house in her robe, yeah.
Cute. No, hot.
Nope. Just cute. Just cute.
She's taking time. DON'T TELL ME SHE PUT ON MAKE UP. PLEASE NO! I'LL RUN AWAY. I SWEAR! I'm not exactly that fond of clowns anyway.
"Sorry for the wait." She states. She wore a denim skirt and a white off-shoulder top and finally sneakers to top it off or should I say bottom it off? Cringe.
She wore a little bit of powder too and foundation, not that much of make up than the make up she wears in school.
"Where?" I ask.
"Just follow me."
We arrived at a garden kind of restaurant. Outstanding restaurant I say. A waiter leads us to a table of two.
"Um, what do you want?"
"Same thing with you." I look around, there was even a butterfly garden behind this restaurant. I heard it from the other people beside us. I'm not that popular here, so paparazzi won't be a problem.
"You look gorgeous when you don't wear make up. You know?" I strike a conversation. I saw the tinge of pink on her cheeks.
"Make up brings out my confidence. I'm also popular in school because of my make up." Weird, but okay.
"You like being popular huh?"
"Yes and no. How about you? How's it been being a model?"
"Busy. I came here to take a rest but instead I'm studying." She laughs. "You're just here for vacation? I don't eavesdrop but I kind of heard Lucas and you talking about finding this girl. So? Have you found her yet?"
I stare at her. I never talked about that with Lucas, I mean I did but not that loud. The waiter arrives with two plates of pasta and drinks.
Come to think of it. I haven't actually look for her, since...Cassie has been a nuisance to me. She keeps on bothering me with her problems and problematic things. Wait, why was I even helping her with those?
