"Anna! We're leaving!" My mother called.
"Wait! I'm coming!" I ran down the marble stairs.
My parents stood at the door, their luggage already in the car I guess.
I ran over and gave them a big hug.
"We won't be gone long dear." My mother said comfortingly.
"Why can't we go to Rachel's wedding?" Elsa crossed her arms.
"Rachel and Flynn have asked for a private wedding. And she has invited us because we are her god parents." My mother said sternly.
"We won't be gone long. I promise." My father said to Elsa.
He kissed her on the forehead and opened the door.
I smiled. "Have fun!"
Elsa scoffed and went upstairs.
I didn't know why she was in such a bad mood.
I skipped upstairs got a call from Janelle, one of my friends.
"Hey, Janelle. What's up?"
"OMG, Anna. Next Saturday, we have to go to this college party. It is going to be AWESOME!!!" She yelled over the phone.
I smiled. I loved parties. It let me let go and just let myself out with nobody judging.
"Of course! You think I don't want to go?"
We laughed.
"See ya, Janelle."
"See you then An."
I hung up and flopped on my bed.
I got a great idea.
I ran out into the hall and walked up to Elsa's blue door.
I knocked a few times.
"What Anna?"
"Do you want to go shopping?" I asked excitedly.
She opened the door and smiled.
"Fine."
We got in her car and drove to the mall.
We ran inside squealing into our favorite store, "Chic". It was a lousy, over used name but their styles were amazing.
Elsa sifted through long sleeve shirts and jeans while I looked at party dresses.
"Another party?" Elsa asked skeptically.
"Just a little one." I lied.
I picked a green and black cocktail dress with gold decals lining the collar.
"Found it." I whispered to myself.
We went up to the check out and Joanne, our usual cashier, bagged our clothes.
We had dinner at Little Boy's Pizza and talked for an hour.
We skipped back outside and realized it was ten o clock.
We laughed and went home.
I was exhausted from my hard day of shopping and immediately fell asleep.
The next morning my alarm didn't go off.
I looked at my digital time piece and saw it was eight I clock. I was already late for school.
I rushed out of bed and squeezed myself into a pair of jeans.
I whipped my bedroom door open and ran downstairs.
Elsa was sitting at the kitchen table, her face red and blotchy, like she had been crying.
"OMG Elsa my alarm didn't go off. Why didn't you wake me up? And why are you crying?" I asked while pouring Cheerios into a bowl.
"Anna, sit down. You don't have to go to school."
I sat down at the kitchen table.
"I don't know how to say this." She sniffled.
What was wrong? I was so confused.
"Last night, there were complications with mom and dad's plane."
"Are they ok?" I asked.
She took in a shaky breath.
"Mom and dad died."
