[Perspective: Second person]
You collapse to the ground, Inochi drops to his knees. Inochi looks over towards you. He tries to talk through his Heavy breathing. "Come on... We... We need to get to the bait" He takes the lighter from your hand, grabs you by the wrist and begin dragging you towards the shine ontop of the mountain.
"Come on..." You shake your arm, and Inochi lets go of you. You stand up barely. Infront of you both Is an open area of the shrine, with a head in the middle. "Come on! Let's set up the fireworks!..." Inochi runs over to the storage area not too far from the peak. You run with him
A door stands between you two, and the fireworks, It''s locked. "Step back.." Inochi Holds his bag in his hands and swings it at the door. The bag eats the door handle along with the lock. Afterwards, Inochi Kicks through. Revealing the fireworks, Your last hope in this situation.
"Move! Take as much as you can!" Inochi grabs a large fuse. Inochi then proceeds to dangle it infront of his bag's mouth, his bag bites on and carries the long fuse.
Both of you take as much fireworks as possible and set them all up around the head of the dragon, which both of you hope will be what the dragon is looking for. Blood still oozed from the head of the dragon.
Not long after, and you've haphazardly set up a few fireworks around the head. All of the fireworks are connected to one fuse. "Come on, inside the shrine.." Inochi gestures for you to follow him, which you do.
As you both walk to the Shrine, you can hear the anarchy going down below. You open the window, beyond is the city of Yamitsuku. The smoke from the fires rose to the skies. The screams can be heard. But most importantly, you can see the dragon, heading up the mountain.
"We have to time this right... Tell me when to light it Kay?" Inochi asks you. He holds the fuse in his hand, on the other, the lighter you bought all those days ago.
[Short perspective change: first person]
The monsters screaming, the fire, anarchy, all of it... Not to mention Noppo, a monster that's fighting for us. It makes me feel bad. Someone like me to hate something like them, a race amongst others.
"Inochi?" I said, intently looking at the dragon. "Is it time?" Inochi asked, sweat dripping down his face. "No..." I look at him in the eyes.
[Perspective change: Second person]
"Thank you... And.. sorry..." You spoke, Looking at Inochi like a puppy pleading to its owner. Inochi smiles. "Now, look." He puts the lighter on his other hand, and put his free hand on your head, gently petting you.
"Nobody's gonna hate you, I'm sure you have your own reasons..." Inochi pauses, as he puts his face closer to yours. "You helped me with my mission, I should atleast repay you right?" You nod. "Well, is it time?"
You glance outside the window, in that very moment, you swore to remove your hatred of the monsters, you are protecting them now. After the three days you've been Inochi's Accomplice, you've learned that.. maybe monsters aren't the worst. A single group doesn't represent a whole society, and you've learned that. At that moment, you were willing to protect Them.
