Giovanna's POV

"Where's Luke?" Stella asks; breaking the silence among us.

Of course it wasn't silent in the club but it definitely was silent between us.

And that's quite unusual because, you see-

"Giovanna?" Stella repeats, capturing my attention.

"Oh yeah um he's in the car with his penguin." I mumble towards the end.

"God he's such an idiot some times, you know?" Emma says as she laughs quietly.

"Since when were you afriad to just burst out laughing?" I question her.

Out of all the years I've known Emma for, I know that she doesn't hold back on her true feelings.

"I don't know but I'm feeling very weird and I have a craving for alcohol, either you prohibit me or you join me. Either way, I'm still drinking." Emma states; sauntering towards the bar.

"She's such a rebel." Stella says softly; cracking a small smile.

"Yeah. We rubbed off on her well." I say as I we both bump our fists together.

By the time we're at the bar and sitting down, Emma has probably already downed at least 3 shots.

"Slow down there." I say as a tipsy Emma collapses in the barstool next to me.

"Stella! BOTTOMS UP." Emma yells over the loud music as she takes yet another shot.

I have to admit, being the designated driver really sucked.

-

An hour has passed and all I've done is hold back Emma's hair while she pukes and make sure that Stella doesn't wander off somewhere.

I look around the club, trying to find someone that I knew so I could have more fun than being the supportive friend.

I was definitely closer to Emma, as I had seen what she hurled into the toilet.

Not pretty.

That's when I lock eyes with a complete stranger.

And I start panicking.

Wasn't it in the book of female rules that you never make eye contact with a stranger of the opposite sex?

Or am I just being biased?

Probably both.

But hey, this complete stranger was pretty attractive.

I smile at the stranger as I give him a small little wave with the hand that wasn't currently supporting Emma.

Emma groans next to me, "Why did I drink so much?" She mumbles whilst banging her head against the wall.

"Sober already? New record." I say, ''Come on, let's go find Stella and go home, it's already like 2am.''

''Leaving already?'' I hear a mysterious voice say behind me.

''Hubba hubba.'' Emma mumbles.

''And who might you be?'' the mysterious stranger asks me.

''Uh, hi. My name's Giovanna, don't mind my friend here she's a little, well, drunk." I say as I shake hands with him.

"My name is Elijah, and I can't find my friends." He says, laughing slightly.

I tuck my hair behind my ear as I spot Stella, "Oh um there's my friend, let me go drop this wild one off and we can talk more over a drink?" I suggest to Elijah.

He nods at me as I stumble towards Stella, "Take Emma and keep an eye on her, I don't think she's fully sober yet." I say as I drop Emma in her arms.

"I was thinking about going home anyways..." Stella trails off.

I take notice of the fact that her lipstick is smudged and her hair seemed tousled.

"Yeah, it might be good for Emma to be home right now anyways."I say; looking down at the nearly unconscious Emma.

"I'll call you when I get home." Stella says as she trudges towards the exit with Emma.

"She looked like a hot mess." Elijah says from behind me.

"I guess she is. So, how about those drinks?" I say as I link arms with him.

"I don't drink alcohol." Elijah says and I mentally face-palm.

"Yeah neither do I." I lie as we sit down at the bar, "Coke?" I ask him.

"Tell me about yourself." Elijah says as I order two cokes.

"I'm just your typical girl, really. Nothing interesting about me." I mumble.

"You're not typical. I sense it. You're beautiful, and funny. Definitely tons of stories about that, right?" Elijah says as the bartender hands us our two drinks.

I turn away blushing; locking eyes with a certain red-headed guy.

"What do you say? Let's get out of this place." Elijah says.

"Pardon?" I ask as I turn back towards him.

"I said let's get out of here." Elijah repeats.

"Yeah... That'd be nice. I'll just be right back." I say as I hop off the stool and walk towards Michael.

"Gio! What do you think you're doing?" Michael questions as I turn him away from Elijah.

"I'm making friends, you got a problem with that?" I say as I look over his shoulder to make sure Elijah isn't watchng us.

"Reason 14: You've got a pretty decent face and body, you could become a model just saying... But you also get to learn who's only approaching you for your heart or your body. He looks like one of those mistakes." Michael says plainly.

"You're judging him by looks, probably just like how you judged me when you first met me." I say as I push him away from me.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm just glad that I get to be there when you come crying to me because he broke your little heart and I get to say that I told you so." Michael argues back.

Quite frankly, I was a little hurt by his "opinion".

"Yeah well that's not going to happen. I like Elijah and I don't need your approval." I say as I walk away from him.

"That's such a stupid ass name." Michael jokes as he grabs my arm; pulling me into his chest.

"Yeah well just like Michael, right?" I spit back as he lets go of me.

"I could've fucking saw that coming from 50 miles. Nice one though." Michael smirks.

I walk away from him, not even turning back to sneak a little glance at him.

But if I had looked his way, I would've seen a complete different person. No smirking, no nothing.

Just another face in the crowd.
