Chapter 2

"I can't believe mom asked me-TOLD ME to walk with you...you're grown now."
Taeil continued to complain as we walked in the middle of the street. Under the hot sun beating down on the paved roads. Our house is kind of located down a kind of alleyway in some sort.

"I don't like you either but I don't mind really."
I shrugged my shoulders and he chuckles patting my head.

"Hey, how about we go on a night walk later."
Taeil suggested and I didn't hesitate to shake my head refusing to go with him.

"No, mom and dad said we aren't allowed out at night."
That was a rule we've had in the house for years. It lined up with the others of course.

- Don't go outside past 7 pm (no late-night straying)

- Don't go to hospitals or police stations (call the numbers on the fridge)

- Don't tell outsiders outside family and family friends your name

(All bad acts will be punished)

(Big punishment for rule breakers)

That's what kept our house together. Nothing bad and all reasonable for me and my brother. Of course, I've always wanted to know why the main three were so weird, but I never dared to question or test them. It's not bad though. I know that much.

"That's what makes it fun! That desired and forbidden sense of freedom. It's all a rush and it's like living on cloud nin for those moments."

"Yeah cloud nine MINUS nine. Mom and dad would kill us."

"Not if they don't catch you."
Taeil smiled mischievously and right away I knew that he had done it once before. Maybe not even just once...my brothers the criminal of the house.

"You stupid!"
I hit him and then he quickly grabs my hands to block the others coming. Then his face went from playful to completely serious taking me off guard a bit.

"I might be, but I know that those people aren't our real parents."
I began to feel weak with fear and shock.

"What do you mean?"
I became intrigued though it was something that if it was true it was more then just cruel.

"I don't know."
Taeil shrugged smiling then letting go of my hands and running away. I then start to chase after him to try and get him back for that.

"Get back here asshole!"
I yell chasing after him but he turns around.

"Watch your mouth!"
He yells coming to a stop, so I do the same.

"Sorry."
I said keeping my hand to my knees watching him catch his breath like me.

"But Sehee, I wasn't lying."
Taeil said again with a bright smile before walking to me and throwing his arm around my shoulder.

"You're mean."
I didn't know whether or not he was lying so that was all I could slip out.

"I know, but you love me."
Taeil started walking with me and I internally agreed with his statement instead of just admitting it.

"You wanna go eat something?"
Taeil said breaking the oddly placed silence.

"Sure."
I said and then Taeil started running a bit with me still entangled in his arm.

"Don't be too loud, but I think someone's following us, lets go and eat ok...just quietly."
I nod in response and listen to Taeil despite my overboard curiosity and worry through those moments.
