Chapter 56: The Idol's Girlfriend

"I'm disappointed in you, Yoongi" the older man said with a frown and a serious tone. The rapper under his firm looked down at the floor ashamed.

"I'm so sorry, Bang nim" he said bowing low in repentance.

"You know that our company aims to have an equal treatment with all of you, there was no reason not to trust we would understand and proceed as needed" Sihyuk said feeling sad that this was not clear enough to Yoongi with whom he had worked for so long now.

"That's right. I'm truly sorry, Bang nim" he apologized again. The producer was not one to lose his temper, but he was strict and he was not sure if he had accepted his apology just yet. His calm demeanor could be confusing.

"I understand you are a grown man and there's no dating ban in this contract. You're old enough to make your own decisions now, Yoongi" the younger one nodded eagerly without looking up.

"I take it that during this last trip to Seoul you were visiting her?" he inquired curiously and Yoongi swallowed hard, but the dryness of his throat didn't get better. He had made up a work related reason to head back for those four days. About needing some of his work, even if he had all his equipment and files with him.

"Yes, Bang nim" he said in a low voice full of regret for not having been honest. The older man nodded and turned around to look outside the window as he carefully considered what the next step to take was. His hands held together behind his back. Yoongi looked up when he didn't hear him say anything.

He turned around once more and looked at him with a stern expression. Yoongi looked like he was indeed sorry for his actions. "Is there anything else I need to know?" he glanced down at his hand briefly and thought about the fact that he was wearing his big 'S' ring that he only wore for concerts.

Yoongi shut his eyes and took a deep breath, he didn't know why he got nervous when the ring was not what most people thought considering the length of the relationship. He kind of wished the tradition of couple rings wasn't exclusive to earlier stages.

"It's nothing, just an anniversary gift" he reassured his elder and explained himself "It's covered to avoid attracting attention." Sihyuk nodded approving of his decision.

"I'll arrange for someone to pick her up then and take her to your apartment. This will be a temporary measure until we can assess the situation once the photographs are published" the old man explained what the next steps were.

"You will have to release a statement while on tour, this can not wait or it will take too much attention away from the upcoming concerts" he frowned in concern, but they had no choice. It couldn't be ignored for two months or there would be bigger consequences.

"Yoongi, we'll take care of this and ensure your girlfriend is safe. There's no need to worry, so please keep working hard as per usual" Sihyuk comforted him and offered reassurance so this would not disturb his performance.

The young rapper bowed gratefully "Thank you Bang nim, I apologize once more. I will focus on doing my best for the upcoming concerts." He excused himself and left. He was lucky he could talk to him in person as he was in Japan for business. He'd normally be in Seoul and he was relieved he'd go back soon to personally keep an eye on you.

You packed your clothes as Yoongi told you they would pick you up soon and made your way out once a lady from the staff called you on your phone. Getting into the black car, you were greeted by who you assumed was the woman you talked to.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Hwa Eunjoo. You can keep my number in case you need anything" she said offering a warm smile. She was around your mother's age probably, maybe a little younger, and she looked rather friendly.
