The Other Teller

Chapter 6

Andrea's POV
We made it back to the car to open the doors. Coco tried to grab Thomas but before he could grab him Thomas started screaming. Coco jumped and quickly walked away. Angel grabbed Abel and took him to my side of the car. Apparently the screaming was really loud because everybody started running outside. I jumped into mom mode right away and ran straight for him. Watching him cry I could tell he was having a panic attack. I got him out of his car seat and held him to my chest. I started singing the first song i could think of... 

Once I finished the song he stopped crying. Even though he was calm Thomas was still shaking. I started talking because everyone else was talking and he would freak out again. I Said, "It's okay baby bear. You're here with me. Everything is just okay. Nothing bad is gonna happen." I looked up to check on Coco. When I found him he was already looking at me with a sad smile. Getting out of the car with Thomas in my arms. Bishop tells me, "Hey mija, let's all go inside to calm down." I started walking with Thomas inside and sat down on the couch in the corner of the room. EZ came up to us with Abel in his hands. They sat down with us. EZ asked Thomas, "Hey Thomas when you're feeling better the 4 of us can go get some ice cream then go to the park okay?" Both of my boys got excited and started jumping on EZ. Abel asked, "Can we please go right now?" We looked at each other then nodded. We got up and picked them up. I laughed, "Come on let's go. Well be back later." We told everyone one we were leaving when Angel came up and stopped me. He looked nervous for whatever he was going to ask me. He sighed before asking, "I was wondering if it would be okay if I joined you guys today. If you're okay with that?" I replied, "Angel you can join us anytime you want to. My boys have taken a liking to you." He looked scepticale, "Drea you sure? I don't want to intrude." I answered, "You're coming with us. You can have the passenger seat. I'll sit in the back with the kids." Telling him that gave him no choice but to come with us. We all got into the car and headed off.

Skip 3 Hours
The guys were needed in the scrap yard soon. They need to get ready for their run soon. I wanted to make some steak for dinner tonight for us when they came back. I asked, "I need one more thing from you guys before I give you back." Angel laughed, "what do you need?" I tell them, "I need some steak meat for dinner for tonight. Where do I go for that?" EZ and Angel started to giggle. Ez started driving into town. We parked outside of what I'm guessing a butcher shop. I gave EZ a look, "You guys won't be late for the run right." They both smiled and shook their heads. There was an older gentleman that reminded me of Angel behind the counter. He hears the bell of the do and turns around. He looks at the 2 men with me and says, "What are you guys doing here? Are you going to introduce me to your friend Ezekiel?" EZ responded, "Pop this is Andrea my girlfriend. Andrea this my pop Felipe. She is the girl I used to talk about from stanford. She and her boys just moved to Santo Padre." He walked around the counter and shook my hand. I ordered the meat for dinner and Felipe walked into the back. I turned to the guys and three both smiling at me. I take it that him shaking my hand is a good sign. Abel wanted to go back to the car so I grabbed Thomas from EZ. I asked him, "Can you pay for me? Here's $50. I need to get them back in the car. He keeps all the change" EZ nodded and gave me a kiss before I walked out.

EZ's POV
When Pop walked back in with the meat he looked okay. He was surprised that it was just the two of us left. He tells us, "I liked her, she seemed nice. I'm assuming her and those boys of hers are gonna be around more. Just be careful with them. I know what that life does to people." Angel and I both nod. I grabbed the meat and gave him the money Drea gave me. When he saw that it was a $50 bill he tried to give it back. I tell him, "She told me that it's for the meat. She wants you to keep the change." He had a look of shock but gave me a nod. We made it to the door when he said, "Bring them to the house when we're all free for dinner at the house." I nod and tell him, "Thank you. See you soon Pop." We get to the car and get in. We get to the club house and say our goodbyes. Angel leaves and I tell her, "Is it okay if Angel and I come back to your house after we're done." She nods and gives me a long kiss. With that she heads off. I get ready for the long and cold ride. We head off and that's when everything goes downhill.
