Chapter Five (Part 1)
Sophia shivered once again underneath the thin blanket. Gabe walked through the door and glanced at the shivering girl on the couch and burst into laughter. She sent him a glare, "What?"
"Nothing, nothing." Gabe said, raising his eyebrows. "I just don't understand why you only brought shorts and t-shirts."
"I thought it was supposed to be warm all weekend, ok? Don't make fun." Sophia said with another shiver.
Gabe rolled his eyes and went back into the kitchen. Sophia stood to put on another t-shirt when the door burst open. The lightning lit up the room and the crash of the thunder made Sophie jump. A girl walked in and set a suitcase on the floor. She closed the door and smiled at Sophia. "Hi, my name is Briana, she said sweetly. "I'm Gabe's girlfriend." Sophia's eyes lit up in surprise.
"That's funny," Sophia said in the same tone. "He never told me he had a girlfriend."
Gabe walked in the door and grinned as he spotted Briana. "Hey Bri, I see you have met Sophie."
Briana ignored him and grabbed his face, "Oh Gabbey, I missed you so much." And then she kissed him. Sophie glared at her with disgust and jealousy. She was short and looked like she weighed twenty pounds. Her hair was bleached and looked like it was cut with a pair of kitchen scissors.
When they pulled apart, Gabe smirked, "It's only been a day."
"Oh." Briana looked around at the cabin. "Gabe, I thought you would have moved to a bigger house, I mean how many rooms are there? Two?"
Sophie looked ready to slap her face at the ignorance of this girl. Briana's eyes landed on Sophia and her kind look changed to rage. She took a step away from Gabe. "How dare you!" She shook a finger at him. "Why the hell do you have this slut in your house!"
"Oh no, Briana. It's not what it looks like!-"
Briana cut Gabe out, "I'm not stupid Gabriel. Have fun with your slut." And with that the girl slammed the door and left.
Gabe's mouth was shaped in an "o" in shock and Sophia laughed. "Well, that's one way to get rid of her. Was gonna do it anyways." Gabe mumbled and sulked to his room. Sophie followed closely behind.
"Gabe, I'm sorry." Sophie said.
"Soph, it's fine. I wanted to get rid of her anyways." Gabe said.
"Why? I thought you said you were going to miss her?"
"I met someone else."
I know its short but I wanted to put something out there and besides this is part one of Chapter 5!
Let me know what you think!
Hugs,
Sabrina
