The best gift/ Isen's Special Day

The Best Gift
"Jay man hurry it up!" Said Merion as he was rushing to the car. "We gotta go do the thing." Putting emphasis on "do the thing."

"Okay okay fine I'm coming." Jay stepped into the car and buckled in.

Merion began driving and turned some music on. Both were silent and calm. They turned to speak to each other. And in unison they said.

"What are we getting Isen for his birthday?"

Their eyes widen and realized. They didn't plan anything ahead. They assumed that the other had come up with something. Both start yelling nonsense at the same time.

"DUDEITHOUGHTYOUPLANNEDTHUIS?"
"NOMANTHISWASYOURJOB!"
"WHATDOYOUMEANIMSUPPOSEDTOPICKUPHISCAKE"
"WEHAVEANHOURMANWHATTHEFU-"

They both were yelling at one another and then suddenly Jay screams, "DOG!" and Merion slams on breaks.
They both look up to see a dog just sitting on the road. The dog looks skinny and just rolls around in the road. Merion honks his horn and the dog runs off.

They both take a second to calm down and look at each other. "I'll get the cake if you go find a gift."Merion says calmly.

"Sounds like a plan. Drop me off at the mall and I got it." Jay responds.
They both nod their heads and turn the music back on. Soon enough Merion parks at the front and Jay gets out.

"Wait!" Merion says.
"Yeah?" Jay looks at him and sees he's got a soft expression on his face.
"Let's make sure Isen has a great day." He holds out his hand for a fist bump.
"Of course man." Jay fist bumps him back and they both smile at each other."

"Okay Jay let's think... what would Isen want.." he thinks out loud to himself. "Oh! I have it." He rushes off to a store. He grabs a bag and loads in a few things. Like Isen's favorite snacks and drinks, Some gift cards, and a birthday card. "Now I've got the perfect final gift.." he pays for his items then heads to the final shop.

The car door slams shut, Merion runs into the store and opens the door. He looks around and lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank god it's not super packed." He walks into the store, taking it all in. This cake shop is super popular among the residents of this town. Their cakes are heaven in your mouth! Sweet and delicious. Merion walks over to the displays and looks at the cakes. "This is perfect!" He goes to grab a cake as someone else does too. He looks at the person and sees a cute girl?

"Oh I'm sorry did you want this?" She smiles at him and it's like her smile glows.

"Oh yea-" hes about to finish before she cuts him off

"TOO BAD." her eyes glow red and it looks really scary.

Merion stares at her in disgust as to why someone would act like this. He takes a deep breath in before grabbing it and running away. She lets out a howl of anger. "Why are girls so weird!?" Merion yells before running and jumping into a shopping kart. He looks over and grabs a broom and starts using it like an oar. The girl has some type of powers based on angers it looks like. She got mad over a cake. Bro what? She begins to howl and chase after him.

"A werewolf girl!" Merion figures out what she is. He remembers the date too. It's a full moon tonight! No wonder she's so angry. Oh well, this cake is for Isen and Isen only! He navigates through the store. Twisting and turning as the girl tries throwing things at him. She growls and snarls and eventually starts running on all fours, somehow even faster than on her legs despite being in human form.

A lightbulb glows above Merion's head. He jumps out the cart and grabs a package of steak off the display. He opens it and throws it to her. Her eyes widen and she jumps up and grabs up!

He sneaks off to the cash register and pays for the steak and cake. He walks out the store and calls Jay. "We did this man!"

It's the day of the party. Tayler is out distracting Isen. Lylac, Kai, and Cam are setting up. Sukechi is organizing gifts. Nurse Angie is making sure everything stays on schedule. Angie, with Merion and Jay's help, is cooking some delicious food! Anyone else not doing a main task is preparing their gift for Isen.

Cams watch beeps, "Hey everyone just got a message from Tayler, he says that they're 10 mins from the house!"

Everyone begins rushing everything and preparing the final touches.

"He's gonna love this!" Lylac exclaims.
"Oh he better." Sukechi says in a sinister voice.
"I tried my best making this gift for him.." says Kai in the softest voice.

Outside the front door, Tayler yells, "OH ISEN IM SO GLAD WE MADE IT HERE-"

Everyone goes quiet and turns the lights off. They all hush up and hide behind furniture.

"Why you yelling so loud man?" They hear Isen behind the door.

Tayler chuckles, "Alright coming in." He lets Isen walk in front of him and open the door. Isen turns the lights on and everyone jumps up and shouts.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISEN!"

They all cheer and use party poppers. Isen's face is neutral but you can see the slight smile on his face. Everyone can see the happiness on his face too.

Tayler slung an arm around his shoulder. He looks at Isen, "Dude you've got the biggest smile I've ever seen you have."

Isen blushes and looks down. "Yeah man...." he's trying to hide his smile but is failing.

2 hours pass and everyone gets to the gifts. Nurse Angie and Sukechi gifted him a scarf, Lylac made him cookies, and Kai made him the cutest drawing of his favorite anime character.

Jay and Merion walk out with a medium sized box and a little gift bag. They hand Isen the gift bag with all his favorite things.

"Aww thanks ma-" Isen is cut off

"Ah ah ah, not yet-" Jay says and hands with the box.

Isen opens it and gasps. He picks up a picture frame and smiles, genuinely. Everyone is curious as to what is this mysterious picture frame?

They all gather around and look. It's a collage! Each team member in a picture with Isen, happy memories.

"Ooo oo look it's us!" Lylac points at one of her and Isen having a friendly spar.

"Hehehe.. nice" Sukechi says. It shows another picture with Isen and Sukechi flipping someone off and driving away in a car.

"Merion. Jay." Isen says with a serious expression.

They look over in worry before seeing Isen smile. "Thank you." He stands up and hugs everyone in a big group.

"Happy birthday Isen." Jay and Merion speak in union.
